chris your being very unfair to the lad u know and I know up to the borders in west winds the coast cleans up but every dog has his day and yes longer distance and east wind changes all that but we are dominated by west winds and its a fact of life but most people don't choose a position to race from its dependent on their work or family ties best of luck for this season

many years ago when I was a lad I was at a club presentation the great Ayton Marshall was chief guest in his speech he stated any one flying this far off the east coast has very little chance and no way would he race pigeons this far off the coast and it was Newcastle he was talking about food for thought
