    Ayr Dam Park

I think it finished about 10 years ago. Dam Park Hall is now part of (I think) Paisley University. It was a great one day show and always about 5th of December. I judged there once and still cherish the tie I was given by Elenor Grant to mark the occasion.

    Birds

No I think it's time they started to control the reason for their decline. Let's restore the balance of Nature. No Sparrows---Sparrow Hawk can you see a connection here?
  4. Very sad indeed must have been heart breaking for a fancier of that age.
  5. That looks like a ring issued by the Federation Secretary. His wife comes on here occasionally but they can be contacted on 01294556080
  6. Didn't think Red Kites were a problem as far as pigeons are concerned. However they do attack school children in the street attempting to rob them of whatever they are eating at the time.
  7. I have everything required and have even invested in some stock from Boots. The only reservation I have at the moment is getting the dose right. What I am saying is do I need to visit the same spot several times to get a result? Maybe no one knows the answer to that question.

    Tooshy Boy.

Ayrshire Federation £4.50 per stray youngster.
  9. Ayrshire North Road Federation races North. They had a good race Saturday past but a poor race the week before. It's still hit and miss I am afraid.

    Sat 30Th Libs

I think that as well if they libbed at 10. I think there might be some learning points today.
  11. Rab Glasgow seem to be having sone poor returns on the beloved East Route. DAL2 has 100% on the West. Is there a conclusion to be drawn here?
  12. A controlled release of latebreds immediately before liberation would help.

Does anyone know when Angus Federation liberated and how their race went?
  14. There is a great deal to be gained her by attempting to educate the public and to have them on our side. This could be done relatively easily by publishing pictures of pigeons which have escaped raptor attacks. These need to carry graphic images of wounds. There should carry text explaining just how many such attacks and victims there are. Unions should pay to have these published in newspapers while members could distribute them and display them in prominent positions. Such posters would also highlight the damage being done to songbirds who suffer the same fate. I am sure this would see a gradual turning of the tide and reduction in the revenue of the RSPB.
  15. Iwould imagine that discharging a firearm in a built up area would be a criminal offence. Keep your birds hungry and on a nest
  16. Happy birthday Vander. A few tinnies in the gang hut tonight possibly
  17. This just has to be a very logical post. Perhaps the mechanism of co-ordination of nest sites just has to be arranged. Stay clear with racing kits but take the latebreds to these locations.
  18. He leaves us in no doubt as to what he is thinking. I do tend to agree with his thoughts.
  19. They can race with minimal training but must be well basket trained. If you do this you are unlikely to be winning in the first few races but will start to hold your own later.
  20. If they have too many birds at the end of season 2011 then they have not raced the program.
  21. Graham---why Ayr? Are you going north this year? For yearsI liberated from Ayr cattle market but sadly no longer as I always lose birds there. Pity coz the wife always thought I enjoyed taking her to Ayr for the day but I had other motivation. I hope you get more back soon.
  22. Overcast but no rain in Ayrshire
  23. I can only agree with these sentiments but would like to say you have not taken into consideration the weakness of out currency making it very expensive to buy goods abroad.

    Speaks Out!

I believe that speech to be several months old but could be mistaken. I agree wholeheartedly it's content. If we in the UK do not change things soon it is estimated that we will be a minority group in our own country by 2066. Not a nice prospect for our children and grandchildren.
  25. Lanarkshire is no west it's Central
