For attension of leeclarke21 , all rung pigeons are the property of the ring holder and can only be collected by that person or a person instructed to do so , trying to obtain other peoples lost birds is deamed as theft , however you may of thought other wise and perhaps thought you were doing the bird a favour by trying to collect it , now it has clearly been put to yourself you can see the other members of the forums response to such actions as this is the way its is in regards to the rules of our birds . lenwadebob has kindly offered you some birds to get you started , i believe you may of got off on the wrong footing due to lack of knowledge and naievety and as such the best way forward is to make you aware of whats not acceptable , and therefore think this lad deserves a second chance rather than be hung by a kangaro court , we all started somewhere some have ben lucky to have birds in the family others make mistakes by trial and error , if such things were to reoccur then i would say hes got knowledge to which he knows his actions arent genuine , all the best with your new hobby Regards Mark
