  1. thats good get your work collegues intrested and save a few pound too boot . perhaps invite them to watch birds returning one race , im pretty luck went to Turkey last year as no racing old birds , enjoy your holliday and be carefull at Lier ( im sure its an anagram ) buy wise
  2. 'who loves you baby' well i have recently given up smoking 11.20 last night had my last ciggarette , so am using an electric cigarette to still get a nicoteen hit , im hoping to be nicoteen free eventualy surely the lollypops will help , and i love ma sugar
  3. well most is trial and error , my kirkpatricks were bought in 92/93 i spent a fortune obtaining these from Louella very few were of any use but i was lucky to have a great teacher who helped me out dropping hints here and there and i formed these in to a good honest family , i was highest prize winner with these birds for 2 years running , then shortly after i gave up after having family problems i was lucky enough to part my birds to two friends and later i got an allotment and got the birds back , then was given notice on allotment and moved to my current house where ill be racing yearlings this year , before buying in stock i research the strains read about winners at the distance you wish to fly at attend breeder buyers every now and again distance birds can be aquired from top lofts cheap , i bought a Jansen from a top flyer his sire was 2nd ymr Bourge 500 miles plus cards in midlands national , try buying from fed winners or fed placing birds and forget about strains , read results ectra go to local main libary and find flyers number or via ring lists . I must admit i like colour and i select for colour at times but only if bird is good i like a nice coloured eye and good ballance , if theres something i like , i like it test it if no good i get shut , i think the biggest mistake is to buy a strain , theres good and bad in every strain indivual pigeons will make a strain so make your own , i've recently added Delbar son of a 1st club 1st section 1st fed 360+ miles and added a few hens to pair to this cock , others i've added are Van Braunes as i wish to compeat up to 700 miles in the future , and i have added a couple of Van hees , the Van Braunes are from a good loft and won up to 3rd fed Lerwick 420 miles , 2 half brothers with same result of which i have 3 sons of these cocks 2 at stock one in race team , these birds will fly up to 726 miles i have birds decending from the famous Hermes , so i believe these to be good at the extreme distance , i have a few in race team this year and they will be flown to 400 mile and maybe a couple to 510 mile

  18. have to agree these so called nationals are geographicaly challenged and dont have enough clock / marking stations i believe they all should be scrapped of there national status as its miss leading and not accessable by all untill they create more stations and be represented by all areas there just a glorified federation , its about time we did have a true national , but to those who reap the publicity and win these jumped up feds they would cringe at them been accessable by all
