  4. could buy some white plastic cladding then no painting and wipe clean no fumes and birds not over disturbed
  5. Locking two birds in with ybs or eggs could be fatal as they'll get distressed and may trample ybs or smash the eggs
  6. i dont paint my loft havent painted any of mine due to it flaking off , my Uncle used to use just ordinary white wash , emulsion paint drys pretty quick
  7. id wait till ybs weaned and birds are out of loft on a race day or training and paint then
  8. not if got the section well ventilated and it drys fast :-/ but best to have birds out of harms way imo, isnt massonary paint like plastic and could peel ? :-/
  9. might be a very long post or way back and dont wish to be disturbed ? who knows its there to use but cant see much point in using it myself
  10. that all depends on paint your using , but surely this is a job you need to do when weather is better and will dry out quicker ? dont want paint on birds feathers nor the fumes :-/

Old club i was in checked all birds via vaccination record and no other birds could be added to it so ownership was checked and rightly so there can be a error in not transfering from a friend and racing but to race someone elses bird and pass it off as your own is totaly wrong , then have the audacity to put if for an award is nothing short of fraud , but without knowing the full details from both sides its hard to make any judgements on hear say
  15. obvious its serious when bird is emaciated and it dies http://www.chevita.com/en/pigeons/treatment-plan/parasites-worminfestation.php older fanciers might rember using daz ( blue washing powder ) and adding dropping and water and shaking in a glass bottle as you could detect the worms , however regular screening and good management will help keep on top of this , if birds forage on soil / grass they will pick up worms other contamination will be via the race basket
