  18. Welcome To Pigeon Basics Dimetrodon , We hope you enjoy the site where about do you live ? then i can point to towards the correct union there you'l get to know which clubs are in your area for you . Are you private or rented accomadation ? if rented you would need permision from your land lord or association to keep pigeons , however as you have a shed already you could apply for a change of use , most lofts have to be 1 metre away from all boundarys , im sure if you can give more details then we can best give you as much information as you will need , i wish you all the best Regards Mark
  19. As long as you report it your doing no wrong your actualy helping by removing it
  20. put a mesch bottom in and add 'L' brackets and add a false removable floor in the false floor will be held in place by the brackets and simply slide out to clean
  21. have read maybe from 'OLD HAND' that when feeding a high quantity of peans beans and pulse that white dari should be added to lighten the mix but too much protein can give them gout and if has a brown shell it can poison them as this material isnt digestable hence no more than 80% beans peas and pulses in a mix perhaps this article by C.S will explain more http://forum.pigeonbasics.com/m-1195378849/s-0/highlight-maple/#num0
  22. Welcome to Pigeon Basics Flyingsolo , we look forward to your posts , enjoy our site
  23. re droppings , i find the colder it is the heat from the droppings actualy attract moisture as obviously the heat of the dropping is warmer than the air around it , if your wanting the firmer white cap on nut brown droppings feed more maples no more than 80 % maples ( this can be a mixture of peas beans pulses ) 20% wheat / barley ( i mix my wheat and barley 4 barley to 1 wheat )
  24. yes , but depends what your doing at the time i.e if have hens in and flying cocks out you wouldnt want them seeing each other
  25. i would gate the back as damp will be carried on wet days back into the loft
