I Take your point on board. When it comes to the website i do agréé it shoult be updated , but this is out of my hands. I will from now on post photo,s of weather and video,s of liberation and hopefully this will keep the members à bit more upto date and happier if thats possible. Cheers kenny

No early lib this morning , lib site low lying mist , just waiting on it lifting :O

I think this Could be à very good idea Michael. As per the feeding , if raining the baskets can be pushedout with the curtain still drawn this stops the baskets from getting wet . I prefer to feed from the inside corridor anyway rather than going up and down ladders .

When the photos were taken it was an hour or so since They had been cleaned out and refilled. I just thought it would to let all see the inside of the transporter/ drinkers etc . If i had taken the photo earlier just after feeding you would have seem plenty of them saying cheese to the caméra .

There will be photos and video tomorrow before and after liberation Hope this will keep everybody happy , for a wee while .

As far as am aware. The only club that had not heldover were the National Flying Club , as They were only flying about 250 miles . But not sûre if They went or not .

Some of you would burst ma head, armchair racecontrollers , it was stilll raining here at 12.30 , prob stopped about 13.00 ish never really started to clear up till after 14.00 . But there is always somebody that thinks They know better. Away and watch the tennis. As i said the other day were no sitting over here for the good of Our health.

This not à dig , at a cost of 100.000 + it hasnt made lanarkshire,s racing any better.sorry but fact is fact . If the geraldy motor get passed to use next season i for one will not blâme the motors if wé have à had race .

Why was the drinkers / water never mentioned after the newbury race , imo were always looking for excuses. For the last 20 odd years there has been plenty of hard races and all of à sudden Its the transportation thats to blâme . If it was that simple the members of fédérations that have geraldy transporter would be Having great racing. But Its just not the case . Over this week-end and last i have watched the birds in the baskets lying about very content and seem very happy. What happens between the lib site and home wé will never no , but i feel full lengh drinkers is not going to solve à thing .

As i have never seen the new lanarkshire transporters first hand only pics on the web site , where do the drivers / convoyers sleep when away with the birds

Hi Derek, the convoyers at alencon are myself and rab Baird . At maidstone again myself, rab Baird and John Mccord . Thanks for the coments.

At a rough guess 1400 birds in convoy

The central transporter that i had at maidstone has an 500 litre water tank which was emptyied and filled 4 times over the weekend. Now am not saying that the birds drank all that water , wé are there to look after the birds , as the saying goes don,t tell yer maw how ta suck eggs. IMO , wé are all to blâme , most of the yearlings on the transporter would have never had à holdover before . And it does,nt matter which lorries that are used this problem will occur. I was told by an ayrshire member last year when his birds were bought back from carenten after 4 days that They were in wonderfull condition , so i have nothing against geraly transportation. But They were brought back . As for personal gain . I personally have taken 25 days holiday from my work , as i am previlaged to be asked to be one of the SNFC convoyers . Ps the birds at alencon are looking tremendous.
