  1. I could be missing the point , but before the inland nats were introduced did the feds not have races from the same distance , and if the feds go back to inland fed racing the same will happen , we will get bad races from time to time . But then the snfc won,t get the blame . As a said earlier 6500 doo,s 10 year ago from the west coast feds at the longest inland race , the same Birdage from the whole Of Scotland at the same distance now
  2. Its to long a story for this , the first time a see you . i tell you why it stopped. That year it was A Durning that was the race controller i worked with. What a man. He phoned me on the sunday evening after a two day holdover and asked me how the birds where looking , i replieid their doing fine andy , been out for a fly and back in the baskets fed and watered ready for tommorow , he said thats fine son and speak to you in the morning. half an hour later he phoned me back, relising what i had said , you can imagine what he said to me .
  3. As far as i remember , it was to do with which fed transported the birds & cost, I think the last race was from salisbury which i had the privalige to be convoyer of around 6500 birds.
  4. we had it before , and it was f..ked up to
  5. when was the strathclyde amal started.
  6. Am up for it , count me in
  7. I would be very surprised if ballochmyle & ayrshire change to the west route next year , but you never no .
  8. where is the downfeild show
  9. Totally agree
  10. The first thing is sorting a race programme that suits everybody , with lanarkshire going the old west route , Ayrshire , Ballochmyle & West Strathclyde not decided yet , and the longest races clashing with the national races which have been a big sucsess for ayrshire members in the last couple of years. If there has to be a meeting we should have it before the AGM,S so we can report back to the members.
  11. What ever you think , mouching baskets and units , as far as am aware the national will never need the LOAN of lanarkshire baskets again , anyway your fed will be using them down the west route this year , as a said earlier good luck with that .
  12. Hi baz , You call the meeting and the ballochmyle fed top table will be there, but there needs to be a compromise , i.e transporters used , convoyers and most of all race proggramme. Cheers Kenny
  13. The Ballochmyle Federation Open Show will now be held on the 3rd of December 2011 in crookedholm community centre for a entry form contact Mr A McNellie on 01292 590575 or If you pm me i will email them out, Shedule,s will be handed out at all shows within scotland by Mr J Bell.
  14. It just show's how much you know. The small national as you call them don't own their transporter either. They hire them from South Lanarkshire and Glasgow Feds. When it come to the running of the national what would you no about it?. As of living a life of a beggar, have a wee look at your own Feds transporters. I take it your one of these members that do f..k all for your Fed apart from moaning!. Good luck with that.
  15. The main reason the nat don.t purchase a transporter is easy, financial suicide, spending £100.000 for six races a year and it not being big enough to carry the birdage. Your no even a member of the SNFC. Just you keep to causing bother in lanarkshire.
  16. That's the date confirmed, just have to run it by the fed committee the morra night , then I,ll update
  17. I will update all on dates extra tomorrow night
  18. What made you change from deep litter.
  19. Do you pay Birdage or a one of fee
  20. We usually don,t decide our programme until the first week in February, after we no where the snfc races will be .
  21. Well done lads, another great season .
  22. In my opinion it does,nt matter which route we fly, most fancier will use some excuse , the route we fly , the hawks ,da,da,da. If more looked in the mirror and stopped blaming everything else . The doo game would be much more enjoyable.
  23. Our fed ballochmyle had joint convoying with lanarkshire this year and was very successful down the east route. Just have to wait and see which way our fed decide to fly next year .
  24. Introduce a convoying fee , and do away with Birdage, then your fed have the money at start of season , also we run a fed raffle where the members get 70% of the tickets sold back. I.e sell £50.00 of tickets and they get £35 towards there fee,s for the year. Our club runs a bonus ball every week this covers all our costs in April
  25. Newbury & Portsmouth for the last two inland races will be proposed at the snfc meeting
