Fraserburgh West End Racing Pigeon Club 1st Annual Open Show (held under SHU rules) Sunday 21st November 2010 To be held in the West End Bowling Green Hall, Hamilton Road, Fraserburgh. All birds to be penned between 10am and 11am and judging will start at 11am prompt. Judges are Bob Whyte (Fraserburgh) and Bob McDonald (Fraserburgh). Show open to the public at 1pm. Donations at the door. Presentation of prizes at 3.15pm. No birds to be uplifted prior to 3.45pm. I have a 1998 son of Dainty Dinah who filled eggs with 5 different hens last year and hopefully will do so again.

I welcome this and think this kind of info could work against the over-protection of raptors. When you read some of the birds they have preyed on they are themselves dwindling and becoming rare and if they peregrines are found to be guilting of depleating their numbers they will come under pressure and the protection may be relaxed (hopefully). Interesting that they have started hunting nocturnally though!
