George would maybe have been speaking about fanciers in his own club. I can assure you that everybody did not have good returns myself included. What you probably dont realise is that our Fed streches 80 miles east to west and I can tell you the guys in the west did not get good returns.

There were 3 at my birds in Forres last week Davie, I know there are at least 5 in and around Grange near Keith. I had my yb's attacked at Mosstodloch which is about 16 miles from here and also near Rothes which would be about the same distance but more southerly. I was fishing with my son 2 days ago on Lochindorb on the Dava moor 10 miles due south of me and I could see and hear them there. They are everywhere.

There are a lot of older guys who are not fit to put the work in that they did a few years ago and maybe as a result their performances have dipped somewhat. It may be more to do with the man than the doo's. So I would have no hesitation in aquiring doo's if I thought they were good enough.

Doddie Ross of Aberdeen's 'Little Doddie' won a gold award for scoring 5 times from Rennes. I also think Jimmy Hamilton's 'Iron Lady' may have done the same but not 100% sure on that one.
