  4. To be honest I don't know what the thread is trying to achieve. In one ofv your earlier post's you state how things should be done, sorry i meant that was asked of you in pm's. If you are not happy with the way things are run why don't you offer your services to the admin team and see if they would like you to help them out. Everybody want's change but nobody is willing to change Absolutely spot on Tooshy :emoticon-0137-clapping:
  5. Davie you have plenty of ideas and opinions. Why don't you organise and run something yourself. Just a thought!
  6. Gavin, There is a very simple solution to this. Don't bother looking at the threads, simple!. Charity sales are an opportunity to help those less fortunate than ourselves. I certainly have not got out the 'begging bowl' as you so elequantly put it. Also only asked fanciers for donations when I saw them. The people who have contributed to my 'begging bowl' are all my friends and only too willing to help and I can assure you nobody is under any pressure to bid. Having said that the people who are so generously putting money into the begging bowl are doing so of their own free will and will be getting some top class pigeons for doing so. You talk about donating to help our own problems in the sport, one of which I see is that the people who do nothing within the sport are too quick to criticise those who do all the work. Maybe if you thought before getting onto your soap box these sales do help to promote our sport by winning the 'hearts and minds' of many people who they help. I would buy in some yb's to try out every year. If I can do so and help somebody who needs it then I am happy. As for the financial climate, you are right people are struggling so taking a 3 year old boy to Disney land before he looses his sight is outwith the reach of an awful lot of families at the present time but if I can help in anyway I will and I am proud of how my friends have rallied round in order to help too. Like I said Gavin, just don't open the threads and you won't get upset by people who are trying to do some good! Paul Thomson.

  10. Coming into the worst time for it, March for me is the worst month. They are a menace right through to near the end of April.
  11. Spurs are great to watch when they play like this. Modric is brilliant, Parker does all the unglamorous stuff and is vital in the way they play.
  12. Stick to the Loco's, real football highland league style :emoticon-0137-clapping:
  13. Thought you were a Man U fan Blackie?

  25. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of my friends for donating birds for this great cause. I would also like to thank Ian Mckay and the Pigeonbasics team for letting me have this sale on here. Being a father myself I cannot comprehend the struggles that some parents have with children who are ill and the pain they have to endure. The thought of my children or anybody's children suffering is an appauling thought. I think that if we can help in any way, to give an child who is ill, any form of joy, pleasure or comfort then it is a pleasure for me to be able to do so. As ever the 'doo-men' have rallied round and for that I will be forever grateful. Fraser will loose his sight completely, of that there is no doubt. What the family are doing is fund raising to enable them to take him to Disney World to try to give him some lasting memories before his sight deteriorates further. This brave little lad has been getting treatment since he was 8 weeks of age including cheimo injections into his eyes and countless trips from Forres down to Birmingham. Once again thankyou to everyone involved and please dig deep again and get bidding. Paul Thomson.
