  1. It is called 'My Highland Kellas Cats' by Di Francis. I have another two by the same author namely 'Cat Country - the quest for the British big cat' and ' The Beast of Exmoor'. Paul.
  2. I have that book, it is fascinating. I grew up 4 miles from Kellas and my mother told me they were quite common when she was young. Her grand-father was a forrester and they were all aware of them and saw them regularly. Paul.
  3. Lots of sightings up here too. There are black cats living up here that are hybrid between domestic cats and Scottish wild cats allegedly but there are too many of them in my opinion and they are almost a breed in their own right. I have some really good books on the subject. The truth is out there. Paul
  4. Walter nobody is getting in a state about a 100 mile race. Mine were at Brechin last week and will go wherever this weekend it makes no odds to me. My thoughts are from the point of view of the members who didn't go last week and will not come in at Perth but will wait another week until Brechin. The fed will loose birdage and hence revenue. There are members who have planned their young bird breeding/training/holidays round the programme that was agreed at the Fed AGM voted for by the members so to me it is only right we adhere to the program as stated in the Fed race program card distributed to all members i.e Brechin 25/7/09. Like I said it makes no odds to me as mine were at Brechin on Saturday and are going regardless but I know that a lot of members up this way will give it a miss at the weekend. As for clubs deciding on Friday what to do in theory you could end up with 10 different proposals and be no better off. Things hapen i.e the first race was cancelled. None of us can do anything about that and for what it is worth I back that decision 100% as do I back the decision to go to Brechin on Saturday 100% it was the right thing to do for everyone. But after all is said and done we have a programme that was agreed on and passed and we must adhere to it and follow it and finish on the same Saturday that was agreed. If people seriously think they can influence Fed decisions by phoning you they are mis-guided to say the least. There are rules and proceedures to be followed we cannot chop and change on a whim. As I have said it makes no difference to me but in the interest of the Fed and for the credibility of the Fed we need to stick to the race programme as stated and on the dates agreed. I have no personal vendetta in this I am just trying to put a balanced and common sense angle on this along with a financial one. Paul
  5. Pass on my regards to him. Hope his new Rangers tops fits him ok Paul.
  6. Happy birthday mate. Hope you have a good one. Lunch at Falkland was it? Paul.
  7. The race programme I have states Brechin on Saturday on 25/07/2009. Walter if you do what you are proposing that would mean extending the race programme by a week which would mean the longest y.b race being held the 3rd week in September or dropping a race later in the programme to finish when we are supposed to. Surely common sense would be that we revert to the programme as it is from this week onwards. Paul.
  8. This week it is a dark chequer nest week could be different Paul.
  9. Surely it would be Brechin as per the race programme. Paul.
  10. Well said Davy. I agree 100%. Paul.
  11. I think all abusers should be named and have their ID's identified as blacklisted. It would let the rest of the forum see what kind of people we are dealing with and easier to avoid such people and not get sucked in or conned by them. All members should have access to this information to allow them to make informed decisions about the people they chat with or have contact with. This information should not only be privey to the moderators. Paul.
