this is fact,,,, but have the feeling after some e,mails to the rspb,, that they do not believe this,,,,,or dont want to ,,, my thoughts are,, they dont want too >
  5. i agree with the last sentence on j bamlings post,,,these are far better birds, ,but with due respect, i find that different fanciers have different managements, i think the management has to suit the birds and vica versa, the old adage , you can buy the birds but you cant buy the management ,,, ,but, as always with pigeons there are many roads to rome lol ,,,but good pigeons the mainstay
  6. snap lol,, the lothians
  7. sorry to hear of your loss roland, i have seen this happen b4 , to many top fanciers,, there could , and obviously would be many reasons for this happening,, as with pigeons lol,, its allways" back to the drawing board" good luck in some returns and in finding out ,,why
  8. great post, and great to read about pigeons lol,, for my pennith worth ;D in the past ive seen no advantage in racing yb,s to the bitter end , i always stopped a few after the hundred mile mark, off course being well trained , among these stopped yb,s i have often found my best ob,s ,, but its hard to stop them when their comming well, but, as i say , if stopped when comming well, these are the ones for the future,, only ny opinion,, good luck all in yb racing
  9. the fancier with the smallest birdage,, but the biggest result, will be better thought of, ,,,,

    young birds

yes, i must agree ,, if a yb makes a mistake, overcomes this mistake, its all the better for it,,
  24. ;D joking aside the pigeon never forgets to come home, its either unable , through one cause or another , [many causes] ive had a bird back after 6 years lol, dont say much of its racing ability ;D but what a memory ;D,, also gave a bird away as a yearling, whenever it was separated from its hen it would return,, right up till it was 14 years old ;D,, also a yb came in to me late one night, was taken to its owner in broxburn the next day,,,,three years later that same bird dropped into me from sartilly in france, last thing at night ,,, not 20 miles from its home, after a nights rest offed it home, just out the result,, you can be sure a pigeons memory is second to none ;D ;D ;D now what was this post about?? ;D
  25. pigeons are creatures of habit, i,e if one bird as a y bird is frightened out the sputnick or merely found a way,, ittl allways do this, if a bird gets a drink from a" still fill" bath on a race day, ittl allways look there for water if thirsty,, if a yb is tamed and feeding from your hand ittl allways do this,,if one flies over your head at the door , ittl allways do this,,, they never forget,,,never
