  1. second one was my last racing lofts, at the side had a garage with inbuilt loft and 22ft outside aviary,, was given notice in this house to quit,,
  2. first one was when i built it in kelso all set to get married for the second time [greed ;D[ but lord of the estate lord bidulph, ordered me to take it down, even allthogh i had permission off the farmer ,,,seems that the farmer who rented farm from the estate hadnt asked the land owner for permission , really cant blame farmer , he was only trying to help,, but it read in the sunday mail [full page ;D ;D] jimmy was left pigeonless, womanless ,and pennyless ;D ;D ;D not far off the truth ;D ;D ;D

  6. your quite right wiley, but the old hands elementals [yeast and calcium] are the best to give a bird that looses the power of its legs during laying[they come in a twin small bottle pack] the white sesqui is actualy bicarb of soda [ invented by white ie the name ;D ;D ;D ;D] did you say MIGHT get brewers droop ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D no comment ;D ;D ;D
  7. i think maybe pigeon scout is meaning old hands elementals [ calcium and yeast tabs] ive just sent for 12 bottles ,, big ones ;D ;D ;D ;D
  8. albear would i be right in saying the warning that there could be a flu pandemic,,,,,,nothing to do with bird flu ,,,,we get this flu scare every winter just get the flu jab
  9. maybe picked you up wrong mb,, but a pigeon blanket??? maybe elaborate
  10. cant understand that robert, if their fit enough to go down for a tread they should be fit enough to stand back up after being treaded,, maybe you could elaborate on this,,,only other thing could be that the hens have actualy lost the power of their legsb4 treading, and the cocks are just jumping on,, this can happen to hens just, laid or on the point of lay , which there are other reasons for :-/ :-/ :-/
  11. are you positive their two hens? as hens will mate ok and as bruno says will lay 4 eggs [between them ;D] and will sit and rear , there no possibility of these being fertile if not having been treaded by a cock,, but will bring up two foster babies ,,, but the first question i asked, is that when two hens pair up they dont normally drive the other like the cock does :-/ :-/ ;D anyway hope things going well :)
  12. no probs wiley , as its very easly done :) done it myself many times ;D ;D cheers
  13. do the ybs in the nest look perfect and gaining weight perfect,, if not something wrong ,,would get droppings tested asap, then take avian vets advice.

"twis him" ah shout, wi accusin glower alas ,to late .hes jist keeled ower. "ye mingen clert"they shout an stare your nae welcome anymair. where err ye may be let yer wind gang free [sounds jist the job for thee an me] whit a fuss at rabbies party ower the sake o one wee farty ;D ;D ;D,,,,,,,,,,,anon ;D

  20. well im pondering ;D ;D ;D ill let you know what ive pondered ;D ;D when ive pondered ;D ;D ;D ;D [just like that big word ;D ;D ;D]
  21. ys this is true as i had a metal loft [a converted coal house], and the condensation would actualy drip from the ceiling, solved this by having louvre doors,, and vents on back and sides ,,,but wouldnt advise a metal loft
  22. think specks been on the soz ;D ;D ;D [never mind shell be ok when she takes her tablet ;D ;D yip ill cope it for that ;D ;D ;D] that was one of the things we discussed bruno,, does the bird automaticly pruduce milk even allthough the eggs are not going to hatch, my veiw on that [there was all differant veiws ] was that the bird goes through a cycle [not a bike speck ;D] but every thing has to take place in the cycle i,e if the eggs are dummies or not going to hatch , i dont think nature would give that pigeon milk, i think its the forming of the egg that brings on the milk,ie movement at 10 days inside the egg up to chipping,, only my thoughts but as most of the previos posts suggest , this was excactly how the debate was going in my house,, my own thoughts are that there are certain pigeons that race better to certain conditions, a cock or hen are usually keen on a three day old yb, but as far as producing milk , i think this would cease until it was stimulated on the yb again, but would have a certain amount ready in the tank , sort of thing , where this would be used up as feeding to the actual pigeon itself, or be passed through the bird ,, but not excactly sure , but have won at the distance in this condition , but would prefer to send them dry ,,,,swillcox,s idea there ive found great the hen sitting a few days and a big yb in the box feeding for itself really , but an old cock seems to love that big young un,,,,,,,so still really none the wiser , but very interesting topic :)
  23. youll find bruno the first grains the ybs pick ,for some reason, are maples.
  24. a happy pigeon bruno ;D ;D ;D ;D
