    its not round the loft that is the main worry its flying home from a race in batches ,, its well known that the peregrine prefers the batch and takes delight in the singling out one bird and killing it, whilst the rest of the batch have been so terrified that most of them have have injured themselves flying in to anything and every thing ,,AS I WITTNESSED more than once

    this is not only part of the eagle owl's nature in protecting its young ,, there are many british birds do exactly the same [remember this is an owl and comes out at night mostly, like any other owls and are very private birds] the seagulls the rspb shot at musselburgh[or gave permission to shoot ,, as they were attacking people are exactly the same,,crows will dive at people as well as will many others ,,,,,,now to say these birds are not visiting Britain is rubbish , it has been proved that these birds can fly here, from Denmark down to Belgium , and as some top ornithologists state,, they are actually native to Britain ,, but the rspb disagree with this :-/ i wonder why ,,,,but there's no doubt that the ybs born here are british birds and should come under the same protection as any other british bird

  5. surely some one must get these birds in ,, i reckon between 4 members theres now about 6 back please check su 07 p 51,,,and sh07 p 58... and a few gb birds ,,,,,,,,,,,not one reported [there was actualy 45 birds attacked bythe hawks ,,,so 39still awol
  6. yes br. its moulted up to its 7th flight [so its been breeding early] the three flights left,, the last one is a nest flight,,, its been looked after as these 6 new flights are perfect ,, but its had a rough time b4 that, as the last flights are frayed a bit , but the very last flight is def . a nest flight [it could be one of my own ;D missing a year ;D ,as it seems so familiar with me and the loft, but havent any note of that ring no ] so,,mystery ;D ;D ;D

  11. dark cheq latebred just came in [fresh,,, no rubber ,,chasing all other birds and fighting the cocks as if well used to the place??] released it couple of miles away , back in loft [mystery]

    these guys deserve a medal when you consider the shortest fliers are flying just over 200 miles [no offence to the shorter flyers ,im sure they would agree]

  20. birds liberated 8 am this morning [sunday] over 800 birds, at hopetoun house near Edin ,,,,,300 miles to fly,,,to Cardiff . ,,best of luck to all
