  1. lanarkshire phone after 1.30pm.
  2. maybe a good idea to put the rangers team out in this weather, maybe wake them up!!! :P
  3. your response peter does not surprise me which is a shame, fortunately it would appear we have a lot of national fanciers who would like to see scotland" singing from the same hyme sheet". :)
  4. johno i asked for an impartial view nothing to do with shu,you are a sensible man so please remove the tinted specs and give your views on the above,i did not mention racing against each other only convoying. :) no propaganda please!!
  5. i would like too put a few ideas and questions up for impartial discussion regarding national racing into scotland,at present we have competed so far in 9 national races without including ipes & saintes if included along with 2 yb nationals this would make 13 races,do you not feel that with so many races they are becoming undervalued?,6 of these races having less than 650 birds competing, this gives a total of over 100 section or region winners into scotland, surely we must think at least for the smaller supported races of joint convoying obviously retaining ones own identity?,between both organisations approx 14000 birds have been sent, surely better use of transportation must be paramount for the continuation of scottish national racing. :-/ :-/ :-/ :-/.
  6. bit quick to judge" harryhoofter" lanarkshire have already had two smashing races. ;) lets wait and see how the weekend goes.

you didnt learn that at lenzie academy!!!!! :P
  8. got their" midnight son" ta,much the same as the young bird sale where fanciers had a problem actually finding the sale list.
  9. well done keiran. :) ;)
  10. bigda was only talking about the website! :-/ :-/
  11. surely it would make sense for the feds from the west & east to liberate with their neighbouring feds, ie lanarkshire & glasgow as an example surely safety in numbers ;)
  12. bit disapointed snfc website regarding reports on the 3 french races doesnt appear to be updated ,anyone know if their is a problem? :-/ :-/.
  13. yes budgie remember my old grannies saying, good returns budgie, you can always send surplus youngsters to the ybn :)
  14. very much a man of mystery" bigda" ;) ;)
  15. in the west of scotland i think we had a mixed bag,it appears lanarkshire have had great returns from kelso not sure about glasgow, renfrew midland & ayrshire feds? :-/ :-/ :-/
  16. i think were on a delayed lib due to bart feeding for a holdover!!!! :) ;)
  17. sammy very good watch, someone will remember the red ch landing at the "cortachy lofts". :)
  18. tom good luck today and to all fanciers in the west of scotland. :)
  19. now now budgie "patience is a virtue possess it if you can, seldom found in women but never found in man" my old gran used to say this. im sure well get a race. :) ;)
  20. bigda, dont understand what you mean, if you read my post i was not knocking lanarkshire fed just pointing out how amalgamation can work be it fed or national and im sure you dont disagree that 27 birds in the first 100 open prizes won by fanciers from the west of scotland is very much a step in the right direction!!! have a wee lie down in a dark room bigda, maybe it will all become clear,no feds no champions league no defections just amalgamation for distance racing. :) ;)
  21. not really that daft "me", i myself flew in the lanarkshire lille race year 2000 then 1400 birds now maybe 400 plus birds would have made the trip, no fed or national in scotland can sustain 500 mile racing individually without amalgamating, the last 4 weeks have shown us this, wee pickles of doos racing from france is not the answer, yes we can stick out our chests and carry on but the cost of all these jaunts from france will again be met by the scottish distance fancier,as in an earlier post 27 birds in the first 100 open national maybe we can get the west back at the top again , heres hoping. ;)

    SAINTES

very well done to pete patrick & willie smith fantastic, extreme long distance has always interested scottish fanciers, this might rekindle the ambitions to have birds home from faraway racepoints which were very popular in the 60s and 70s but not so in the last 2 decades, again very well done and good luck to fanciers who are still waiting. :) :)
  23. national usually has between 350-450 birds in the west section,i think 800 plus birds from the feds in the west, without duplication i think lanarkshire would have found it very hard to ask fanciers to split their team after such a hard season, myself personally i think it was a success with 27 west birds featuring in the first 100 open snfc result. :)
  24. could the lanarkshire fed have had a 500ml race without being convoyed by the national?
