The buzz i got just watching the race unfold was second to none, just hope i have that feeling again and soon.

Dont want to get involved in politics, as it has a nasty habit of ruining the sport. Cheers for the advice, alex.

The reporting of arrivals on the website was non existent. Considering the magnitude of our national, this was a huge failing. When Joe done the pro this was done very well in all departments. imao

I spent the weekend with Joe at Blackpool and visit him regularly, and i,m sure he would return to his rightfull place. Last year was a shambles, and needs put back to where it once was. Angela, i was speaking to yer man at blackpool, nice to put face to name.

No they didnt it wasnt on the agenda, but agree Joe should be pro.

Hello m8, i wasnt knocking anything you said, in fact i agree with you, asha is forever ripping into people with at times ludicrous ideas or sugestions, and appears just to stir things. I t would be nice for him to put some of his wealth of knowledge up for others to benefit from, but i dont think that will ever happen

My work governs how much activity i can have in the loft. I dont have anything on the floor and clean out once a week. My stock birds are locked in their boxes with a bed of wood shavings, which get changed every week. My young birds have sloping perches and are cleaned one a week. I dont seem to get much diseases with the birds, so i do what i,ve done in the past. I use sorgene 5 or jeyes fluid once cleaned out, both have a refreshing smell.

I dont think anyone is knocking anyone, members are merely stating what they use, as the post requests. Each and everyone to their own, some dont agree with others but if we were all the same, life would be dull. Why cant some people respect others opinions?
-
Think your right m8, so its down to saving the money rather than re-cooping it. I,m sure there can be ways and means to help, putting the fees up slightly for one. After all you don't get much for the fees we are paying at the moment, and nothing is getting cheaper. I think the general feeling through the membership is that we as a club want to help in any way possible, within reason in some cases. The blame wont be at the current committees feet, but i,m sure the members will be looking for the rot to stop, as soon as possible. congratulations on your position on the committee by the way, alex.

Loft levy over 3 years Derek? £20 a year till it balances out? just a thought. Its our mess we need to sort it out as a cleb, alex.

Best loft location & bird dilemma?
alex wight replied to a topic in Novices, Beginners & Young Fanciers
as long as there arent loads of wires over your garden, i,m sure the birds will adapt to there loft. i had trees at the back off my old garden with 6 wires over the garden and it didnt deter them one bit. only when they were young birds did they hit the wires but they soon learned. As for buying mate, i,ve always been told the best are the ones from clubmates and friends for free. Dont splash out when just starting. all the best alex. -
Heres hoping so, it may be my 2 proposals for next year, when i can attend my first snfc agm lol
-
just my opinion hotrod, but all credit to the guys and girls that made the effort. Just feel sorry for the members that cant be there to join in. I,d also like to see the agm, move every year north south east and west venues, partly to show it cares about ALL membership(not saying it favours anyone at the moment). New beginning new ideas.
-
Isnt there 1100 members all in? which would mean 160 was a pretty poor turn out. I still think postal ballots should be introduced to help people who cant attend for whatever reason. Yes it will probably mean less at the actual meeting, but at least the whole membership are involved. alex.

My avatar is a bit tongue in cheek. When i first started racing pigeons, and started training them, i said to a friend "this is great, every time i train or race the birds, they always come back", he replied, "just like a boomerang", hence the name boomerang lofts. I changed the name to catelae lofts, (which is latin), after my arson attack. I liked the name boomerang, and wanted to keep it in some capacity. Long winded, but hey ho lol alex.

brilliant ian, well done and to all involved, alex
