What we have here is people who have been part of the forces which is like a family even when we leave. So when we hear these happenings, it hurts like hell. Political or not, it still hurts and is often good to air your feelings, if you havent been there you wont understand. Condolences are being given along with an opinion, and the families are all to aware of the risks the forces are faced with, but it still hurts like hell when you loose a loved one. Maybe the title should have read "Condolences seeked for soldiers loved ones", and the politics may have been kept away, but somehow i dont think so. All i say is try and understand the guys who have a view, and more importantly why, i think you,ll find they have been affected in some way far more than words being said..

Spineless b*****ds, as an ex soldier who knows what its like to loose friends through violence/war, my thoughts are with the boys families. The sad part is that nothing will come of it, jailed if caught, so what, it doesnt bring the boys back.

I lost the roof of my young bird loft last night. The wind was as strong as i,ve ever witnessed in my life. The roof, 12ft x 8ft took off and hit the back of my house and landed on my extension, thankfully causing very little damage. The roof itself was broken in parts but not the end of the world. What realy annoyed me was that i had just shifted my first 10 young birds accompanied with their mothers, and guess what, yep they were in the now roofless loft. I was able to get help from my secretary Wullie stark and his laddie joe, who helped me move all the effected birds. This morning i was up at 6.30am to fix the damage, and sort all the birds out once again. I think i only have one type of luck, BAD. Now we are covered in snow, great :-/

www.thehuntinglife.com/html/sections/articles/various/larsen-trap.html I built one of these, very simple to make. Not had any call of late to have it set up as the hawks have not been on show. If they were, i wouldnt hesitate in using it. And then relocate them

No! they are well known to the police and thats their lives, cause bother and get away with it because they manipulate the authorities.

yes i was patty bhoy. i was on the radio, teletext, news, and in 5 newspapers. The reason i done that was to try and protect the rest of my clubmates by alerting the public of this sick act. It worked we found out who it was, but unfortunatley he is still walking.
-
Being part of the statistic, i know exactly what he is going through. I,m up and running again to start this year, but i can tell you, that the pictures of my sad day never go away. I am always relieved that my lofts are still there in the morning, and thats after moving house. Glad he is going to continue, and the fancy will help him stand again, good on him, alex.

Looks a picture m8, you've done well. All the very best for the forthcoming season, alex.

The reason there is a bitter taste in most fanciers mouths, is the way it was hushed up the last time. The government are all to quick to point the finger at the pigeon world (because they are registered birds) therefore it looks good to the public. ie, bird flu in britain, lets show the public that we are doing something and ban all pigeon racing, and blame them for transferring it from place to place. What a load of bo****ks. Meanwhile mr business man pleads for help and gets 8 million quid, great. So now that the same place has it again, and bearing in mind the present credit climate we are in, do we again throw another 8 million, i dont bloody think so. Sorry to be harsh here but not sorry one little bit for someone who manipulates people, and in this case that is exactly what is happening. imao, alex. When the swan was found up in my neck of the woods i was to adhere to all restrictions WHY! Its a bloody shambles just like the rest of this so called GREAT Britain. Off my soap box now

I,m sure you will make it work Ian, all the very best, alex.

I,ll be living within my means, and hopefully nothing has to take a back seat. We will just have to wait and see if it gets any worse, hope not. You would like to think, that the amount of money we are throwing at the problem, that WE dont suffer any more, after all its our money. Thats going to have a sting in its tail later on, imao. After all it doesnt grow on trees. Good luck to all.

Our thoughts are with you all, rest in peace, alex.

Many Happy returns guys, have a good un, alex
