Thats the one archie, people have this conseption that if the pads on the outside, then so is the bird. But on closer inspection , realisation is that the bird in fact is in the confines of the loft, simple but oh so confusing ;D ;D

Pad to be sealed in place, so that eradicates cheats.

For clear rules contact your union. As for the sputniks, someone is not reading the explanation properly. Yes sputniks are on the outside of the loft, but when the bird is timed in, its inside that part of the loft. Consideration has to be made to what was available first, sputnik or ets. If it were the case for sputniks to be ruled out, all hell would let loose. Who's changing the rule anyway and why???? It buggers me when lack of thought is put into things like this, in my opinion, alex.

spin cycle. yep they are rv woodcraft, i bought 20 from a guy in edinburgh and 2 from rv themselves. Instead of joining them together i put a 4 inch piece of strapping in between just to segregate them a wee bit. Just hope it works

If you look at it a different way. The bird has to be timed in, when entering the loft, not landing on it. If you use sputniks, the pad can be underneath, but to time the bird in, it must enter the sputnik. Like wise if it lands on the landing board, it hasnt entered the loft as yet. This is what the Scottish Homing Union will tell you. alex.
