  1. Why replace it with another Falaise? Is 3 channel races not enough ? Falaise would cost the SNFC more because they wouldnt get joint convoyed as they do at the longest race. I dont disagree with you about the longest race being scrapped as it may encourage people to send more birds to the Gold cup race. On the other hand, their are fanciers who specialise in 600 mile races and look forward to them.
  2. Danny, here is a fact m8. Lanarkshire fed or any other fed for that matter, have no bearing on anything the SNFC do.

    HOO THIS

I must say, I wish I looked like that fella. Hes a bit like a gypo ;D
  4. Yes it is , you should take a leaf oot his book ;D
  5. I AM HIS DAD ;D Joking aside, everyone knows Gareth is older than me
  6. Hi Jamie, you have put up a programme that most out and out distance fliers , including myself, would accept but, the programme I put up is to benefit all aspects of the SNFC and its members . When I started in pigeons there were only 2 - 3 channel races :-/
  7. My thoughts are this- our channel races should be from eastern points, as the vast majority of Scotland fly the east route nowadays. Traditional race points such as Rennes were ok when we flew the traditional route.ie Gretna - Dorchester. My programme would be Eastbourne 12th June, Ypres 26th June, Gold cup 2nd July Reims or Liege, 17th July Longest race. Both Eastbourne and Ypres can have yearling races incorporated. This makes only 4 Ob nationals but I think the majority of the SNFC members could cope going to them all, or at least 3 of them. My YBN would have separate libs as mentioned earlier.
  8. Here we go again, LANARKSHIRE, LANARKSHIRE, this thread is about the SNFC race programme. Get back to the topic lads
  9. That was many years ago m8 but I do agree, they were very successful races. Dont know the reason for us not going there.Food for thought
  10. This is an idea that I have put to a few people for several years now .Sections B, C, D, G and A, E, F ,you never know, someone might put it in as a proposal. Lets get back to the race programme folks.
  11. The members are the SNFC and they will decide the programme Frank regardless of profit. The inland races obviously make a few quid. :-/
  12. Scottish Midland fed, yb open- one bird in race time ob- lymm 170-180 mls 80% of birds lost and many, many more
  13. The moult would have to be retarded Frank
  14. I am getting the feeling that we want to do away with at least one of the inland nationals. :-/
  15. ;D ;D Im a bit like that myself, everybody tell us what your race programmes would be.
  16. Thats all we are asking for m8, your opinion. What about Ypres replacing one of the inland races ?
  17. The members will decide the programme at AGM Alan but the management committee have a meeting and then put forward recommendations. Whether these carry is up to the members. I think Ypres would be recommended as a race as it has been quite successful to all sections of the National.
  18. Do the members feel that the dates and race points should be changed? When posting a race point or date change, please tell us your reason for it.
  19. Well done Willie, the Celtic cup is a good cup to win, despite the name ;D ;D
  20. I would like the views of some of the SNFC members regarding the race programme for 2010. The SNFC committee are having a meeting soon to discuss recommendations for 2010. Regards, Derek Hay
  21. Aye Stuart, they look the part m8. I ll definately becoming through to the show to have a look at them.
  22. My youngest boy was a smashing kid and was talking and walking and achieving all the expected milestones , a typical wee rascal, all was great until he was given the MMR jag. He didnt speak and stopped communicating with us. We thought he had become deaf but what it was, he had become severely autistic and it was and still is , the worst time of our lives. Dont you lads tell me about compulsary vaccinating with children. The MMR vaccination scandal has been the biggest Government cover up since the thalidomide tragedies. Racing pigeons is a different kettle of fish, I would exhaust every other avenue against paratyphoid before I would vaccinate. ps. I vaccinate against PMV every year and I have had it twice in last 10 years. Both occasions using Colombivac, so what does that tell us? ARE VACCINES COMPLETELY SAFE ? In my experiences, definately NO
  23. Im looking for 10 bird basket like that m8 ;D
  24. Very interesting Roland.
