  2. ye are wrong m8, different day.Joe won in a north wind on 13th June 1992 ( I WAS 7TH OPEN AND STB WAS 29TH ) Sandy won the WCC in a strong south wind , a few weeks later
  3. ;D ;D it might be better on a roof with a good incline, mines only has 6 inch run
  4. Got onduline m8, it has lasted 8 years and now has perished. Meant to have 15 year guarantee
  5. Ill have a look m8, cheers
  6. Can anyone advise on where to get best deal on profile sheets, preferably in Scotland.
  7. Aye David, same to yersel
  8. Not bad m8 but still room for improvement ;D ;D ;D How many open tickets in the full section F last year? Well , as I said before, I was in section F. If we get an open ticket then we are doing really well. I am really surprised with the lack of geographic knowledge you have . Look back the results and you will see how good a loft location you have.
  9. You are in bad bit for winning east Region but you are in best bit of section D. You just have got to get better birds and try better if you want to win the east region. ;D ps. You write very like snfc ;D ;D
  10. snfc, im in worst part of my section, more so the channel races.( furthest north west in section E ) I was in best part of my former section ( section F ). I am 15 miles west of my club members. Its like getting a boot in the baws and then being asked to race 100 yards. I have nothing to prove m8, ive won clubs, feds, opens, combines, sections, regions etc etc, so I never make excuses, I only state facts. The further east you are, the bigger advantage you have. This is common knowledge in the pigeon sport in Britain
  11. Fly in East Calder , piece of *expletive removed* p*ss m8. Further east than China. ;D ;D What a piggin statement from you Davie, I am 30 miles west of Almond valley and only competed in few races with them, incidently, I got on one fed result how would you do if you were flying against fanciers in Dunbar if they were in your fed. :B :B You are sitting in the best part of your section , ye cant fail.
  12. Jammy won with Donanne, Sartilly I think, around 1995 although thats not last 10 years
  13. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
  14. ;D You started this thread as a wind up and now ye are trying to get another 10000 views with another wind up. Try flying into East Calder, its so easy, must be the best part of Scotland. :P
  15. My humble apologies to Mr.Stats. I read it wrong :B :B
  16. Once in many, many years has the west done as well.Simple reason, the east was shut out with mist. Its funny how you always highlight one good race out of 20 :-/
  17. The bird I am talking about Stuart is `Waterside Blackie'. A champion racer/ breeder for me.Maybe the most under estimated pigeon ever in this area, he won from 60 miles to 570 miles ( from every race point ). In 2001, from the yb national. Very few pigeons getting into west section as it was a strong north wind, I timed 6 out of 7 pigeons , with all of these birds being children or grand children of Blackie. Five of these birds were in top 20 in west section. He has continued to breed top birds but doesnt fill eggs now. ps. He flew channel 7 times
  18. Hoody, yer pal Bozzy wont like you not knowing what race he won ;D ;DThe Graduate won Rennes 1997, 21 home in race time .John Bosworth just pipped Davy Donaldson ( in the west ) for 1st Open. Messac was 2000, another tough race where only about 180 birds in race time, this was made up mostly of south birds. I have a cock in loft that was at both races, just missed the first result but scored in second.

Thank you all very much. My brother was a strong man that fought against lung and liver cancer for almost 2 years,he defied the doctors predictions but now he is at peace and hopefully in a better place. We thank you all very much for your kind words. Derek and Linda Hay
  20. Your talking sense young man
  21. Shows the calibre of doos and doomen in west doesnt it.Saying that, there are top doomen every section. The only chance we got in winning national is at the longest race and in fact, Ian McGhie , Newmains, was last to win channel race and that was from Nantes ( and a disaster ). Do your homework and you will find out how good certain fliers really are. Mind you, where you are, a crisp packet could make it home :P ;D ;D
  22. And DRAG OF PIGEONS. The west got some top positions last year because of the Lanarkshire fed coming on board, this in turn tipped the scales of success more to the west section. In the 60s,70s the west section achieved similar results because of the amount of birds they sent. DRAG, an undeniable massive factor in pigeon racing, just look at the yb National.
  23. Aye, its grand to be married and 50 grand to be divorced
  24. Scottish Midland fed you need 80 obs and 100 ybs ;D ;D Lanarkshire fed - 30 obs 25 ybs In Reality, 12 good obs will do - 6 sent alternate weeks and 25 ybs
  25. I have an old black cock 1995, I think could be rated as a champion. He won prizes from Kelso, Newcastle,Appleby, Charnock Richards, Ripon,Cheltenham, Uttoxeter, Salisbury, Leicester, Frome ( won section F by an hour ) Lille, Messac, Sartilly. He flew channel 7 times and was in both SNFC Gold cup disasters 1997 ( just missed result, only 21 in race time ) & 2000. I just mentioned race points he won from but sometimes he won from these more than once. He is also responsible for many club, fed and SNFC diploma winners. Very few people recognised how good a pigeon he was, but in my loft, my best racing cock ever. His name ' WATERSIDE BLACKIE '
