  1. bamboozled with that yin DAN
  2. Spot on ALEX
  3. Yer right m8, it worked out a treat today with a Friday race. Food for thought for all Scottish feds. I have enjoyed racing my pigeons with the Almond Valley fed although I havent got much of a chance away out here on the west, it has taught my birds to break and my returns have been better than I first expected. Every day is a school day
  4. Point of interest, years ago we never trained ybs after first race. They were happier, less stress, less disease. The answer is there for everybody to see, dont be afraid to change things because the fact of the matter is, if you do the same as you always did, you will get the same results as you always did. Im getting drunk now and loose at the mooth as they say
  5. Ive tried all the different training Frank, ybs with obs in May,tried it,leaving it till one week before yb racing, tried it. Single up, tried it. The best training I think you can do is this, 7mls, 12mls, 25mls x 4, back to 12 mls 3 times a week.CONFIDENCE, CONFIDENCE, CONFIDENCE All the above training works but the last one won me best performance ybs in Midland fed. ( thats hard to achieve where I am located ) May I also say, in the last 10 years of the Kirkintilloch club I was maybe once out the top 3 in yb racing. None of the above without HEALTH . CAN I JUST ADD, MY BIRDS HAVENT HAD A TRAINING TOSS FOR TWO WEEKS. Another key ingredient- Rest
  6. Ive been to 3 Consetts John and havent lost a bird. Ive been to 10 yb races and have lost 7 in total providing I dont get my last one back from todays Catterick ( 21/22 ) My point here is, I didnt start training until July
  7. Is the sale tomorrow or Sunday
  8. brill Jock
  9. just got my 21st doo from 22
  10. Maybe something in this Bob, your doos arent used with the route these birds will be taking and it can make a hell of a difference as you know m8. ps. Hope ye dont think I was being smug , saying 20/22, I hadnt read your post previously.
  11. Thats grim m8,its not like your birds, hope they work in.
  12. went to clocks at 5.15pm and had 20/22 fantastic race for me, some had it dodgy. Got first 2 at half past 3 and had 10 in 25 minutes.
  13. HEALTH, FITNESS AND BREEDING, which all comes down to Management, I suppose. I have had 9 races this year with my ybs and have lost 6 birds in total. I also think that most folk ration there ybs too much and they have no reserves to get home when they have a hard race.
  14. Big is beautiful, get them up together
  15. Aye it did, just back from club and returns last week were horrendous. I was the only one with full returns
  16. I reckon Jim Jack is the man to speak to but if you want yer doos at Catterick, ill get them away. Its a Friday race

  18. What about sending them to Wakefield John, ill send a few too
  19. Its about time ye supported yer club

  21. SNFC Yb National next week, how many birds are you sending ? I hope to send about 7 or 8 depending on what happens from our open race from Catterick on Friday
  22. I seem to have a few unrung m8 all slipped the rings in nest
  23. A/V programme, 2 x Stobs Camp, 2 x Otterburn, 2 x Consett, Catterick this Friday coming. May I say, I have been to 3 Consett yb races recently ( 2 with A/V and one with L.S.C )and lost 1 pigeon in total.
  24. 1st open Sartilly W C COMBINE with a yearling cock,15 half hours on wing, only 4 on day. he had couple of tosses as yb. 2nd section Gold cup Alencon, never raced as yb, scored this year with 2 cocks, Ypres and Clermont, both in there 5th race of there life, never raced or trained as ybs.etc etc etc They ve either got it or they havent
