  15. Do you think everyone is happy now lol, make it fairer, make more happier.Imagine showing some Joe Blogg in the street a pigeon result and saying P.Virtue won the race but the real winner is G.Rankin in 20th position as it was a west wind. They would say your mad, the winner is the guy lifting the cup, no one else. This is easy to sort but the guys in the favourable positions dont want it sorted.Funnily enough, these same guys lose credibility because even when they get a real good yin, everyone still thinks that it is location etc.ps. Larkhall has never won the Lanarkshire fed,???? lol why did you move your dookits there lol.pps the 2 winners mentioned in the west section were both disaster races, but were best birds in race , no doubt.
  16. Heres another unbias opinion from a relative new start that doesnt know the politics. Its tough Charlie , the doo games fked m8
  17. Gareth, the only thing your interested in is the birds coming straight through Larkhall every week and believe me, everyone knows that. The best national racing results into the west section have been from races to the east. You see , it makes it a wee bit fairer, but fairness is the last thing pigeon men want.Advantages plus penalty kicks is the name of the game now.If there was a breaking point (in all races )and fatigue factor formula implemented in the longer races then no one would bother about east and west, they would go to the proven best race points for returns. The winner would be the best pigeon, end of.Not the way it is just now, the first pigeon in Eyemouth wins the race but every one credits the doo in Ayrshire in 40th open as the best bird. The pigeon game is stuck in the dark ages and fairness is not part of its make up. If a breaking point etc was implented you wouldnt need sections ( or as many sections )and everyone would pool in the open, as EVERYONE, has a fair crack of the whip.Only then would the east, west argument get really sorted as no real advantage is given to anyone.
  18. I find it funny that folk dont listen to guys that have experienced both east and west and are giving a neutral opinion.Lanarkshire got humped at 60-70 miles yesterday because they had a smaller convoy than usual( this is a normal size for other feds )thats a fact. The winds etc didnt help but the main factor is a smallish convoy being liberated down in the solway with BOP having a field day. We all know that the BIG CONVOY down the west makes a difference to returns but we are just papering over the cracks here. The same BIG CONVOY down the east will get even better returns, thats a proven FACT.Ive heard some saying the guys flying the east route are getting it tight also, this is very true BUT, part reason for this is because Lanarkshire fed is not down the east anymore and the volume of birds coming into the west of Scotland is severely diminished. My opinion, neutral and unbias, is until BOP is sorted down the whole west route, east will be marginally better.Midland fed go west because certain clubs want domination in certain races but with no thought whatsoever for the pigeons.I remember they went east and Denny got most of the prizes but all had fantastic returns. The very next year it was changed to the west so other clubs could dominate in the early races, in spite of the vast amount of pigeons being lost. Lanarkshire fed are adopting the same attitude.
  19. Totally true and unbias opinion John, I just wish people would listen to folk that have experienced both routes. Its all about winning a red card and no compassion for the pigeon, shame on them.
  20. Get them all away to Newbury Del Ive 18/20 from Newark, the doos today look rough , cold easterly taking its toll.
  21. I stand corrected Stephen, 2nd hand info growing arms and legs, lol
  22. Info came from Raymond Whyte, glad you have corrected it and it wasnt as bad as first thought.Bop everywhere, this is true but densest population is north of you guys, M74, so you cant really comment on this as your birds dont have to run the gauntlet up there.Im not saying there arent 100s down the M6 as well and your birds have to deal with that.
  23. Derek, Im only talking from experience going with the Midland fed.Bop everywhere but with volume of Lanarkshire doos coming from east, the races were great.Almond valley have small convoy and are still getting good enough races. I have nothing to gain by saying east is better than west, i just tell the truth about it.Solway up yesterday at Stafford with Cumbria fed, 1 bird on the day.Totally gutted
  24. The racing has just started Colin, get into it m8
