Naw George, they will be fine in first races too but wont compete with the darkies or lighties unless its a sunny easy flying day.They should be finishing the BIG MOULT by the time the 4th race comes , even better if the racing is put back a week or 2.

No doubt you ve accelerated the moult in some way or the birds are in super nick.The other reason could be the weather we have had,damp and muggy.Ive got a few on there 5th as well.

Theyve entered the big moult m8, very good for the yb season as they are a wee bit early.They will be ok by the 3rd or 4th race , renewing all the body feathers.

Ive to laugh at this, the SNRPC put almost every pigeon on the result and you put this post up.lol.Obviouly your not thinking about it, the chances of 200ypm ever coming into play in the SNFC are very remote BUT Niort was one of those unfortunate races that it could have applied.Common sense here, but that isnt in abundance in the pigeon sport.

Good to get them working in m8.I think the likes of the distance races nowadays in Scotland ( Niort ), if there isnt 10% of the pigeons timed in then the race should go until there is or as other organisations do, 200ypm .Nothing worse than not enough pigeons to take the prizes.
