  9. happy birthday folks
  10. Very sad time for Archie and his family, R.I.P. Willie
  11. Food for thought m8.I believe the fella Fyfe from West Lothian fed beans and hemp to his Ancenis birds this year and he was 3rd and 19th open .Im not decrying feeding beans, im saying I feel the modern methods and feeds are designed more for optimum results and health.
  12. If it works well for you Neil then why change it? Everybody has different circumstances and ye just do what ye can.
  13. Was it Frank?
  14. I don't know about one feed that I would feed start to finish ( 60-600mls) that would give them everything I think they needed but there are a few that come close Dal. There are mixes for different distances though, without the need to use supplements.
  15. Well most mixes are decent quality now m8, they are all well balanced diets scientifically designed to optimize the pigeons health. You now get a variety of mixes for specific race distances.
  16. Only going by my experiences George, bottom line is ye need the tools first, they'll still win fed on baked beans lol.
  17. Police everywhere, helicopters, riot vans, mounted police etc ????
  18. In the old days we fed the BMW system, Beans, Maize and Wheat. They did well at the distance but believe me they didn't return in the superior condition that they do nowadays. Using the more scientific mixtures and feeding methods DEFINATELY helps at the extreme distances although their will be plenty of pigeons to contradict this theory. Roger Bannister beat the 4 minute mile and fell over the line. Look at the athletes nowadays, they run marathons and don't even break sweat. Must move with the times lads imo.
