  1. That's telling me nothing, expletive remove yer like a politician lol
  2. I agree,fk all up with Reims Davy, the amount of top birds lost due to bad controlling this year is unforgivable.
  3. Well done m8, that was the only race I didn't clock in. Whether its down to my management or bad race controlling or a bit of both, who knows.
  4. I was delighted to get back into a club/fed this year, although its mostly distance birds ive got they did well. Competed in 14 races, 9 x 1st, 12 x 2nd, 7 x 3rd, 5 x 4th = 33 club prize cards in top 4. Federation, I was 34 times in top 10 in section. SNFC highlights are-3 top 10 West Region prizes, 2 x 3rd, 1 x 9th West Region, I enjoyed the season although I lost a few quality birds that had scored several times in the SNFC. Roll on the shows lol
  5. Cmon now big yin, none of this secret society sh ite get it up here for all to see
  6. The old yins are the best but failing that, Dals eyedrops are the biz
  7. Ok Ian, what is it you do to avoid YBS.
  8. The breeding of latebreds only,is becoming a fast growing trend to avoid Y.B.S. I know of several fanciers who forfeit yb racing to do this.
  9. They also have a 4 in 1 product coming out which de louses, cankers , worms and coccis, I think. A few of us were asked to trial it and we were all disappointed.
  10. The part I don't understand is the fact you are saying you can prevent YBS and every fancier and pharmaceutical company in the country isny banging your door down for this invaluable information. I vaccinate my ybs coming out the nest or before and get YBS every year,it maybe very mild but I still get it to some degree. I spoke to a guy, whos originally fae Bonnybridge and is well up in the manufacturing of HARKERS products. He told me they may have A NEW PRODUCT coming onto the market, a pill that helps the yb fight against YBS. It builds their immune system up so much that they cannot contract the virus. I said to him, why the fk are you not excited about the prospect of being a millionaire overnight and he said that his company may not get the funding to license the new product. I said the pigeonman would fund it themselves if their was an answer to this seasonal problem. No answer was the loud reply...More ignorant b.s im afraid and you saying you can prevent it comes into the same category.omho
  11. Right then Peter, correct me if im wrong, you are now saying you know how to avoid YBS and can prove it by facts. You would be a millionaire overnight if you could do that BUT, im all ears.

  14. Ive been very unlucky with my B team Walter, ive lost a few of them, but at least I managed to get my A team out of Dunbar
  15. Ps. Craig, listen to Jim as he is a very decent fancier and has the best gold cup record in the strong uddingston club, but also listen to everyone else as you can learn something from everyone. All the best whatever you do with your birds.
  16. I tossed my latebreds at Dunbar this morning, all home, no probs .Theyve had 6 tosses to 27 miles and then jumped into 64 miles.Thats them ready for next year.
  17. Feed, water, grit and REST. Remember plenty of baths too, anything that struggles in anyway gets the Kingbilly blackbag.
  18. Thanks m8
  19. well done Alex

  21. expletive remove Peter, you need to come into the 21st century.I remember we had 32 birds and 27 had flown the channel, that was in the 70s and the birds didn't have the hazards they have now. Everybody had distance birds and everybody went to Rennes, if they could. It was a piece of P*** to get birds home from 500 miles then, in fact, sometimes we had to cull birds that had flown the water several times because they weren't quick enough. You must live here and now and if I was in your position in your section I would be very disappointed if I didn't get at least one top 5 EVERY year, no excuses.
  22. Geo, you are partly correct m8.The keel feathers are parted because of the fancier running their fingers up it several times and sometimes licking their fingers and spreading the feathers to view the colour of the breast. This is wrong in my opinion as most fanciers do not re-position the feathers as they were and this could be detrimental to the birds whilst in flight. Ive had many distance birds with lots of keel feather covering, some capable and some not . The bottom line with distance birds Peter is, they've either got it or they haven't, fk all to do with feathers on their keel imo.
  23. Ive no excuses , please excuse me lol. ps. Howd ye go in yb national with yer Linford Christie doos?
