  5. i agree 100% but you can build up a big quality team.... its not all "throw enough mud and some will stick" there's lads breeding big teams with real big quality... but i do accept your point

  7. just wondering how many old/young birds will most fanciers have this year the isrf plans are to bring in a 40/50 bird limit wot are your thoughts on this subject, if your a member of our fed do you think it will affect you and your performance! we'll have 16 cocks and 20 hens for the old birds and may breed 50/60 young birds best of luck to all members on here for the coming season and 2010

  13. yes we have some but the main aim is to reduce them by breeding top quality races so eventually we can put the proven racers into the stock loft... mite not work but its an ambition to have no prisoners but for the time being we will be glad to buy in quality birds to breed off and hopefully bolster our team of racers good question

  15. i was reading in the rp the other day and ronnie evans & son put up some great performances, winning the channel averages in the UNC this year, so well done to them, very good read too

  18. would agree with joe61, but dont allow him to tread her until the 5th day, other wise he will be treading her for the days leading up to her being ready, if it was me i'd wait til the 5th day and let him give her all he's sperm at once plus he would have built up a nice amount of sperm to give him every chance of filling her eggs

  23. sent to the 1st barleycove open in the old birds this year, wot a disaster it was we dropped 14 birds 6 of which were winners, sick!!!! that race effectively ended our old birds season as it hurt the remaining birds in the team
