Start pairing up the last week in January. No point before, as unlike the Belgians who start racing youngsters at the start of May, we don't start till the last week in July. Your only wasting money on feeding for a couple of months and the probability of them being finished before they start.

Double action? You mean a club that is growing every year, flying for bigger prizes and the envy of most fanciers outwith the area who like a bet on their pigeons. Also a full compliment of trophies to be won every season. Where do you fly? or are you just hiding behind your PC. ;D ;D ;D

I stay at the west of Edinburgh and never see Lanarkshire birds going over on racedays. They always go round the back of the Pentlands. You only get the odd stray youngsters the day after the race when they are tired and don't fight the wind.

Tyson, You can race Wanstead Flats with the other lot, or have you fallen out with them too. Ware is a few miles from Harlow about 310-315 for me. The WDA race from there with more birds than us, so Lib point will be fine. Good programme with the races on different weeks. Maybe the 600 mile guys would want to go further than Andrezel. Just got to get the basketting times sorted for the guys who work.

Substitute Newbury for Wanstead Flats or Harlow, or do away with it completely, and have One Inland National from the Coast. Substitute Falaise for Clermont and have the Ypres race a week later which is an empty week. All these racepoints are on a line, which the majority of the country is racing week in week out, with maybe the slight exception of Ypres being slightly more Easterly, but this racepoint was incluided for a completely different reason and should remain, with duplication as a yearling national also.

In my Opinion there is only one weekly racing pigeon club in Scotland. THE NEW LOTHIAN R.P.C. Where else can you fly against 80 odd members most weeks and prize and pool money of £1000 to £1500 every race.

5th & 6th December

2 of the worse places to liberate doos. Every Pylon in East Lothian runs into Cockenzie power station on your line of flight and St Boswells is the Bermuda Triangle.

Got 2 Lanarkshire strays in on Saturday libbed this morning from Glasgow, both got home okay. Fanciers delighted to get them back. The birds were falling to bits in the moult, better left in the loft when they're like this.

Gareth, Agree with you partially but Lanarkshire fed is only 20 miles west of me. Our line of flight is one of 2xvalleys, the A7 Gala Water or the A68 East side of Soutra. Earlier postings from Cheeseman and Eggy are lots of losses too. These guys are on both the Lines of Flight for Edinburgh. We do have losses to you know, but what I,m saying is if you do what you've always done, you'll get what you always got. We all need to restructure. Anyway you couldnae come to Edinburgh, you wouldnae fit under the Harthill Bridge ;D ;D
