sent u a pm with some info hope it helps

they look great mate the only thing i would say is maybe its in your plans allready hope u dont mind me saying is too put some rope accross the top of the roof mabe about 4 to 5 lines in line with the roof edge mine go about a foot in height on the edge of the roof (hope i explained that right) as u know when there racing they will land on roof then to trap and they can play on roof for while if the ropes are there they have to hit landing board :-/

they look great and look all the same in which i like

depends on how many u have and the plans for your old birds i would say 4 or 5 races at least then if u feel the losses are not to bad carry on if ure racing widow hood cocks u could stop them after 3 4 races and keep a few hens for cocks and race the the other hens though out the season as in the off season u may be able to pick up a few hens on the cheap for widowhood really it would all depend on what your plans are for the old bird team
-
i would say the perfect answer i also never leave them pick once they start flying

i think what wrong is we try to put this though our heads and find a reason why would someone do this well to be honest no right minded person would even think such a thing no different to what happens on bonfire night lighting dogs cats (even though i hate the beggars) horses and other animals on fire we have all seen the pictures im not that old late 20s but when i was young we might have gone put with our catapults and steel balls and killed a few woodies and crows but what young lad didn't have a catapult but what going on now with teenagers and animals in general is terrible im afraid i think a lot of it was down too a lot of ppl having lamping dogs terriers years ao if u didn't have one u knew a mate that did and had a bit of respect for animals or is it down to the parents too i know its a bit off the point of the thread and its ranting and raving

training in the opposite direction
just ask me replied to lordcornwallis's topic in Novices, Beginners & Young Fanciers
well that a tough question i personally train of line of flight and i don't do too bad i think a lot will come out when more fanicers start using gps think there will be suriped what line the birds are taking also also on breaking points i think with real sprint races this might work but what i think u need for it to work is some sort of mark i.e a monument that really sticks out ie a big tower that can be seen easily at the end of the day good birds and management we cant make them find there way but we can make them fit and have the right amount of energy in the tank -
could fly down and get taxi from airport :P :P or someone to collect him
