  10. truly amazing performances but we should not be surprised as they do it year in year out, has to be one the best if not the best racing lofts in the uk, no matter what club or union you are in you have to acknowledge fanciers at the very top of their sport and the Macaloney`s are at the top. well done lads.

  12. jimmy did you keep "stock pigeons" back then, what i remember from years gone by was that every bird in your loft flew out or raced for you. in my first loft i had an old bird section and a young bird section but no stock birds or prisoners. i never measured the feeding or calculated the protien content. birds were tossed wherever you could get them to ie.. north, south east and west. but i must admit i was never in the prizes back then but if i was waiting on some at nightfall i knew they would be there next morning now if they are not home within a couple of hours after your first you just dont see them again. i think birds bred from birds who have never flapped their wings in anger will never be any good, too many pedigrees going in the baskets week after week and when they dont come home we wonder why. other factors which contribute to losses could be......... 1. mobile phone masts everywhere 2. peregrine numbers much higher than the rspb will admit and we all know the damage they can cause to a batch of youngsters. 3. libertaing birds in poor conditions................last weekend a fine example.!!!!!! 4. clashing with other organisations on a weekly basis 5. poor loft management................
  13. birds liberated at 9.45am into a strong head wind, have 1 left so hope he makes it.
  14. well done mate keep it up.
  15. ARRIVED TODAY YELLOW RACE RUBBER AND YELLOW CLIP RING. BEEN FED AND WATERED AND WILL LIBERATE TOMORROW.
  16. well said frank returns were excellent yesterday with most having 100% or waiting on one. here in the east section looks like john harwood has two good ones in at 12.45, we are lucky to have such a good team in charge of our birds and when willie is controlling one thing is for sure the welfare of the birds is paramount.
  17. hopefully frank little bit of north in the wind should keep them honest, best of luck frank.
  18. Glasgow Fed liberated at Catterick in a light variable wind.........good luck to all racing today.

  20. 20/21 from otterburn with most members at clock check waiting on one. one member was 15/20 so not a bad day all round.
  21. if my memory serves me right the only system to record the pad serial no is the tipes there was a demonstration in the moodiesburn hotel and the serial number was recorded for each pad a bird was timed with for security reasons i was told.
  22. KEEP THEM COMING STUART............you very kindly donated a youngster to our federation sale this year which was very much appreciated and i also have had some quality birds from you over the last few seasons, just ignore the a**holes and keep up the good work.
  23. welcome back mark great to see you on line again, linda kept us up to date with how things were going along. keep the chin up and get the lad back into those lofts again. talk soon.
