Hi Sue, I have a loft with two compartments, one with stock birds and one with the young logans in that i fly. Problem arose when (and this shows my inexperience, we were given 6 additional white hens and it took me a while to realise that they were not logans or indeed any breed of white racing pigeon!, and we think they are a cross of tumblers/garden doves).
The eggs are due to hatch any time - one has just hatched in the last 10 mins actually! I am going to remove the cross hens but so far have no where to put them, though i think i might know someone on here who may have them off me, free of course.
We are going to buy a shed as we will definetly be needing more room, but the trouble is we are not sure if any of the logans have bred with logans and therefore are unsure about the offspring. (we have three logan cocks and three hens) It seems that the logan cocks prefer the cross breeds rather than the logan hens!
I can't take them off the eggs cause i am a softy, but know that i need to stop them breeding anymore until i can sort something out and be sure of what is being bred.
