  4. i can understand where you are coming from, but some of us are genuine and are greatful for all that the people on this site do. I guess maybe we need to put some checks in place, just not sure how
  5. Well I finally found out what our free hens are........tumblers! Question is what would be the result if a logan and a tumbler bred? Which they have! Found three eggs so far. I actually needed Logans, but we couldnt say no as it was my hubbies boss that gave them to us for nought. Am i right in assuming that the tumblers are not particularly good for dove releases? And am i right in assuming that the cross of logan and tumbler won't be either? Still what ever they are so sweet and pretty, looks like i have some garden birds after all

  14. If racing pigeons are not a sport - why are they called racing? Surely HRH elizabeth could interject on this one - afterall she is the patron!
  15. Glad you asked this question - i was going to myself. I got some young birds a few weeks ago and they seemed to be fine, though the droppings were never particular hard i presumed this was due to stress. This week though they are all watery- I'm wondering if a cat has been up on the loft whilst i have been at work cause they are quite jittery too - could this be stress or am i looking at something more sinister? :-/
  16. Hi, i know you probably won't want to help the competition, but does anyone have any idea where you can purchase a heart shaped hamper/basket from - i can not find one for love nor money. What do you use for dove release - considering the welfare of the birds and all that? Any advice would be most welcome, ;D
  17. Upside-Down Display In Windows XP Within Windows XP, certain video drivers or graphics card chipsets supporting 180 degree screen rotation can cause the Windows XP display to be presented upside down. This can be (but is not always) tied to lowering the screen resolution in some accessibility programs. To revert to a right-side up display, hold down the CTRL, ALT and UP (arrow) keys. Another option is to contact Microsoft for a fix. See the Microsoft Knowledge Base for more information. Might be the same for Vista - worth a try
  18. Internet myth: Dial 112 to check if a covert police car is really a police car by Murdo Maguire — last modified 2007-01-25 06:52 There is an email circulating that states a driver does not have to stop for an unmarked police car. The driver is to put the hazard lights on and phone 112 on mobile to check that the car behind with flashing blue lights is in fact a valid police car. The advice is said to be aimed mainly at lone female drivers. Is this information correct please? 112 is the emergency services number for Europe and in the UK will route to the 999 service. They will not be happy in receiving calls checking whether the car following you with blue lights flashing is a police car. Furthermore using a mobile phone whilst driving is illegal except in an emergency and could mean a fine and from 27 February 2007, three points on your licence and a £60 fine. No doubt the car following you with lights flashing will be well placed to issue a ticket. Covert police cars are only unmarked in their covert state and once the lights are activated and the sirens switched on they are designed to be very recognisable. You should certainly stop if they activate them and you believe you are their target. Officers dealing with traffic offences will also be in full uniform. You should obviously not stop if the car does not have the requisite lights and by all means dial 112 (or 999) if you are stopped (or an attempt is made to make you stop) by a car which is not a police car. Found this on the web - seems we should not ring 112

    Negativity???

Do you think negativity could be misconstrued from the sarcasm on this site? Personally I love the banter, i love the pigeon talk, i love the way everyone helps you and it's life that we won't all agree all the time isn't it? Be a boring world if we did. This site is brilliant, I've had loads of help from people who don't know me and have made contacts that i hope i will know for life. It's a great source of informaton and a little community. I'm addicted that's for sure. It certainly makes me smile when the banter starts - i dont think that any of it is meant to be personal. ;D
  24. Spotless - that's what a call refurbishment
