  1. Well done Sam,keep it going now.
  2. Expect it will be Celtic, but agin they realize its how you finish that wins, not how you begin, also they appear to have a long season ahead of them in Europe.
  3. Yeah and seeing as mysel and Lennutt Tar are down as the old boys in the box in The Muppet Show hows about Roland for a sitting member for Castles in the Air and Dovey for Baked Pies Under Milkwood, now as for Bewted,!?

    Fergies Flops.

C,mon now Vic,get a grip on reality, did you not see your beloved Reds this week, whatever about Uniteds result,it was entertaining football, watching Liverpool play was on par with a trip to the dentist. Painful !
  5. Extremly nice both of them, how old is Lady,is this her first litter, imagine you will have good demand for whatever pups are there, wishing you the best with them.
  6. Jason Could we have a Stewards Inquiry Jason,, my birds have been nobbled and after being got at, L.O.L. ;D ;D ;D seriously now would like wish yourself and all involved best of luck, and a good race with full returns.
  7. I share your anger and frustation as regards these issues Jimmy, while I am not opposed to birds of prey, its the R.S.P.B strategy in overpopulating these species,to the detriment of many other species, that I am strongly opposed to ,and if not for our pigeons, which is an artifical food chain, lots of other species would now be extinct, and the sooner pigeon fanciers get off their collective knees, and our voices are heard regarding this matter the better, because it will only get worse.
  8. Just ask Me i am singing off the same song sheet as you this morning, and again agree its the pedigree of the fancier you should be interested in when buying, not the birds.
  9. Its a very good idea Just ask Me,pigeon racing is possibily the unfairest competion in the World to day, with a newbie, from the word go competing against in most cases lifelong fanciers, even at club level,a novice against old pros, with no quarter given, and when often asking for advice, hesitantly in lots of cases on here, they often end up more bewildered with the different array of answers given (with good intentions) than before they asked, but the onus is on the Newbie to ask,I would have no problems with this. j.m.o.
  10. Copper Sulphate at the rate of a spoonful to four gallons in the bathwater, for lofts/red mite a stronger soloution mix sprayed on ,also keeps Coci and Canker in check, works for me, old remedy, but extremly effficient and basic simplicity.
  11. The above is a very good idea, maybe at a slightly less price of £5 per ring Unions appoint one club only to cover an area,no setting up of new clubs within same area.
  12. Our deepest sympathy goes out to you and yours Kevin at this sad time.

Most factual people realize the protection of Raptors,is uncalled for in many instances, challenge is to harness this mode of thought, and direct it in proper direction.

Welcome to the site Kerryharris, you will find more logic and tolerance for different opinions here than some sites I could mention,Birds of Prey and pigeons, the problem has always been about,as fanciers we could live with this, but due to the insistence of R.SP.B who are obviousl glove puppets for the Raptors Orgns, its now at epidemic proportions,in many areas birds cant even be excercised within ,what should be the comparitive saftey around their own loft, literally large sums of public donations spent to achive this, breeding boxs, release programes for Raptors, whilst other species of birds are declining rapidly, with the Raptors also playing their part in their demise, this is the big problem, its overpopulation of Raptors, and the continued inference to do so at any cost, and all of this is possible only ,due to the second biggest charity after only Oxfam, R.S.P.B.,to expect this to continue, with our birds being in the main the foodchain that supports these Raptors, cant continue, its only a matter of time, till the majority of fanciers, realize this, well what happens then is anybodys guess, the issue involved here is not Raptors, but amount of,and multiplying consequently on a yearly basis.

Also in the beautiful rolling hills of Southern Ireland.
  19. Unless I am picking this up wrong, its nothing to do with moult, its just a tail feather which is out of synch, thats my slant on it.
  20. Have seen this once in one of my race birds,it made no differ, same bird is four year old no still here having raced every season, when it moults out it will be o.k,outer tail feather, looks out of place, hanging down,on its own, is bird ok otherwise.
  21. Dovescott have you not noticed,only one of them wears a dress. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
  22. Too true and we should only communicate by P.M. as regards these issues. We have lots of birds, they need only make one blunder, and its Goonight Vienna
  23. With us here in this part of Ireland,Rose its our Race Controller who has final decision/Marking and Libs,/for this week we are looking at a Monday evening marking, with a Tuesday Lib,but again this could change, but very few complaints,as on all occassions the birds welfare is paramount in these matters, the weather has been dreadful for the last number of weeks, and constantly changing, which is the big problem.
  24. Congrats Jimmy and best wishes Mother and Son.
  25. Are those Tommy Harpurs lines Chrisss.
