  4. homer

    space needed

very nice gesture ..... especially in light of some of the threads on site. well done and good luck
  5. thats a very good post imo
  6. i dont believe that a truely genuine person (new to the game or starting back up again) would be offended if a few questions were asked of him before he received gifts of birds (or any help) from established fanciers. i am relatively new to this site and ,becasue i have nothing to hide , would be happy to answer any question (asked over the phone or in pm's) if somebody was looking to help me but wanted assurance that they wernt being 'scammed' . bottom line is , i think its ok to ask question of any member (new or otherwise) before you start giving away your stock.
  7. would be easier and more convenient for the members steph but look at all the potential (hand written) sigs we could get from friends, family and colleagues that aren't on the net or dont keep pigeons.
  8. very gd point , i think sum pigeon blokes think 'if its free it must be worthless' i had a nightmare trying to 'give away' 2 quality show exhibition fantails and i made the point that if i had asked for money and offered loads of bogus history about the birds they would have moved sooner !! (the thread was removed because it did not help the guy trying to sell /give away his birds.....understandable )
  9. i agree, most genuine pigeon people would fall over themselves to help a new guy get started but for an experienced flyer to pull a stunt like this makes me sick !
  10. mine love an occasional digestive biscuit................................................... everything else is a secret !!!!!!!
  11. offspring may still home. ive had pure bred rollers in the past that could home so racer crosses could be in with a chance..............but could be a bit of a gamble ?
  12. bullying can be a problem !! put a pair of show kings (big birds) in with racers and they will take over the joint !!! think u wil be ok with your pouter tho.
  13. i cant wait

  18. yeh , thats cool we will call our new strain of top racers Chickadee's whites . they are £25 ea 0r £75 a pair.....................................................................................................................................................i know it dont make sense but who cares we got hand written pedigrees !
  19. pigeons that fly fast. forget pedigrees and "strains" my friend and concentrate on birds that fly home quickly !!!
  20. neva heard of it .......................................................................... dnt do it ???????????
  21. ok m8 glad we are singing off the same song sheet .................(couldnt spell hym hynme hinn hyme etc etc etc........)
  22. well its not about how great jim & simon toon are ?????????? im sure they are the the best . its about how free birds are dissmissed and birds for sale are lapped up. !
  23. yeh they may be the dogs b"£$%^s but if u read the thread ....................
  24. just to clarify my position on this subject, when ever we have moved home over the years we have always started ,more or less from scratch , with birds from friends that have been gifts...no paperwork whatsoever just decent flyers saying "ive got some youngerns for ya " . and we have found that we are able to hold our own with these birds. a good racer is a good racer no matter what its out of, we have bred multiple winners from a stray hen we caught in the grounds of church !!
  25. thanx tammy. glad my point came across ok.
