  13. Hi i was given a daughter to Red Danial 3 years ago she is a 97 pigeon and have had over that period 2 hens and 1 cock from her but she is now strugling to fill her eggs is there any medication or vitamins or any thing i can do to may be help her to maybe fill some more eggs?

  15. Hi i had a big tree in my garden for the first two years of racing it was always getting in the way especialy for the birds trying to land. and the lack of sunlite was not doing them any favours. what i did was cut the tree down completely and when i had my loft buitl i put clear perspex in the roof so that they got some natural lite most of the day all be it not direct sunlite but they seem to have thrived on it this year. If I was you i would approach th council and ask to have the tree removed as it a danger to your property ( or there property especialy with the wild winds we have in this country) best of luck. THE TREE NEEDS TO BE LOWERED OR FELLED.

    Hawk Problem

Well said. all negative answers will get us no where. I think the protection of some hawks still needs to be in place such as the Merlin/Hobby/Red Kites ones that do not cause to much of a problem. The protection of Sparrow Hawks in some areas may be Ok like right out in the sticks but were people are looking after the small wild birds in the towns and citys may need to be controlled if they are causing a problem. The Breed and release will need to be stopped as this is just adding to the problem for the other wild birds. there are I think plenty of Sparrow Hawks around now as we have all stated in past threads. Perigrines are just a menace to all I don't know what could be said about this problem. Just that something needs to be done soon before they completely ruin Pigeon Racing. I have only been racing for 4 years and have lost loads of birds, and i have had a great number return with primary flights missing the typicle place were a Perigrine strikes.
  17. Thanks Fifer and Sapper no problem only glad to help if possible, The price of getting birds back is crushing most people. I have had lots of help from people on this site so only happy to help. Remember the offer is there for next year as well especialy when the young bird season starts again. or even if somebody buys a bird around were i live if they deliver it to my house i can bring them also.
  18. Hi i travel on a regular basis from Lancaster up just past Dundee normally on a Monday morning I travel along the M6 M74 through Stirling and Perth if any body needs any birds carried along this route please let me know is i can help i will. but i must add i would have to meet at motorway service stations so as not to go off route. it takes me a long time to travel this journey and the less time it takes the better.
