My birds are not going anywhere this weekend.
-
fair one I never thought of it like that. though I would think they will still need to know were they live Thanks Tooshy

Thanks there hasn't been any negative posts so that has made me feel a lot better I will cover the aviary today so the next ones up wont be able to see out at all thanks Wings
-
Do you think that I could dark hessian the aviary so they cannot see out? not all of them have been on the perches yet.
-
I dont think it would be possible to put a shed up yet may be about 4 weeks hopefully I will have signed for the new property then. it is only about 2 miles away so that would not be to much of a problem. the wife would have to let tehm out. I work in scotland and live in Lancashire so I was trying to make it as painless as possible.

Hi again i'm looking for some advice. As I have said in a previous post that i'm looking to move houses in the next 6/8 weeks my problem is, I have breed my first round of yoing birds and they are now sat on the perches in the aivery. Normally I would be letting them sit on the let board about now just getting them used to the area and coming in and out of the trap. My question is how long could i leave it before having to nget them out obviously i want themt o be trained to the new location, but as stated earlier it may be some time before i move there, what i don't want is a fly away as soon as i let them out. your comments and adivce would be greatly appreciated. Regards Wings

A Para arrives at the pearly gates of heaven and is met by the Angel Gabriel "congratulations" say Gabriel, "now what would your paradise be" he asks " anyware were there are no Bootnecks" he replies " so be it" says Gabriel, the Para awakes to find himself ina nice warm beach with a hot naked girl playing volley ball, when he notices a Rigid Raider storming towards him width a guy wearing a green beret. "Damn it" says the Para "I said no Royal Marines" "and there isn't " replies Gabriel, "that's God he just thinks he's one".

I also added not on electrolytes to the water what a differance. Not every bodies cup of tea but I think it has really helped my you g birds and the stock birds

I posted on here a week ago for help with wet dropping the advice was great as old yellow says grit grit grit grit and also salt my young have never looked as good since I took the advice of grit salt and calcium.

As you know fifer it's bootneck humour Fifer would honoured to help with what you text me about earlier
-
Good idea fifer may well do it if we do move, just trying to get the morgage sorted i'm hopeing to stay in the house i'm at now until the new house is done up if i have my way i will race all the old birds there for this season. and when all the young birds are ready to go out i will have set up a loft at the new location, if that all makes sence. Fifer the items we talked about earlier today are in the post and should be with you in the next couple of days.

It seems to have slight red tips on the end of its flight though it is still only young. Yes there is one mealy cock in the same section but have never seen it bother with hen
-
I have a young birds to A dark pied Cock and a Blue Hen and one of the young birds has like a mealy red in it. do you think that another Cock has got to the hen as the dark pied cock has always thrown dark pigeons in the past>
-
That sounds great, reading that has made me a bit happier about breaking them, It will be a few weeks before I move it it comes off but I will certainly keep you all informed as to how it goes. thanks all for the encouragement, Regards
-
I have decent sized avairy that will be going with me so will use more with them.
-
Sounds like a good thing to try. I wont be leaving the house i now live in for some time but will have the new property as soon as i can the loft will be going up at the new place so when that happens i will have to try thi.I have a few good birds at the moment and would hate not to be able to race them again and put thenm in the stock loft I believe they have a lot of good races in them yet, Thanks again for the info.
-
Hi i'm think of moving house I will be on the same easting or more or less but 2 miles to the east has any body got any ideas about braeking pigeons to a new loft? Regards
-

All birds vaccinated for pmv every year with out fail
-
yes they were wormed before I paired them up
-
No 2010 bird I have had it for over 12 months with no problems with it.
-
Yes maybe abit earlier. I have done pretty well with the young bird races though see to lose a lot. the watery dropping only seem to be when the stock birds are feeding hen I move them the seem to be OK.
-
it is feed ing 16 day old young birds these also look ok.
