  2. Thanks everyone i added Orego styme to the water gave them grit and every other day they get a small amount of Matrix with a little black minerals added and also put live yoghurt nad strike 2 on the corn and now everything is fine many thanks again.
  3. I live in Lancaster and travel to Arbroath most Monday mornings but i set off early and don't have much stoppage time but would be willing to drop birds at any service station or chuck them up near there homes, i will do this as often as i can. just drop me a message on here and if the finder of the pigeon can drop it at mine or it's near enough for me to collect i will gladley help.

  7. All they have been getting is matrix twice a week at the most is this not enough
  8. Should i give grit daily i also have some black minerals in a bag in the garage should i use it and if so how much
  9. Seems pretty bad, yes i do set traps for mice but maybe i should set more, i have poison down in boxes outside the loft but probably need to re stock them
  10. hi, is it normal for the stock birds to have watery droppings while rearing young, the floor in the loft seems very wet. or is there something that i'm missing giving them.
  11. Sorry forgot to add if the young are that bit older dwmp ther wings down so they cannot fly to strongly

I let my young birds onto the landing board before they can fly so that they can get used to there surroundings, and a good tip is from the belly to the brain in other words before you let them on to the board make sure they are realy hungry you may even want to starve them for 36 hours, i always whistle when i feed them so they now when feed time is, don't loose hope it will come together remember the bit from the belly to the brain. Hope this helps some for the future.

  15. PJC Please excuse my naivety but what are fountainhead ( i gather Lofts ) do you have a pedigree for the bird
  16. What food do you hopper feed, to keep the weight down. i thought they would just get fat seeing as though they are not flying out. I never thought they would balance them selves out.

  19. The problem with this for me is that me and the wife both work so they can only be feed twice aday at the most.

  22. The problem is they seem to leave all the maize and larger food if i was to use hoppers then they would end up full of maize, what i was looking for was afeed that they would not pick through and eat the whoole lot.

Hi when the cocks and hens are feeding the young birds they seem to pick through a lot of the food and most of the food goes to waste, i was wondering what is the best food to feed the young so as to avoid all the waste. i was feeding breed and wean last year and they seemed to chuck a lot of the food out and into the droppings any ideas or advice would be greatly appreciated
