The White Rapido Man

In theory .......yes........... But then again it depends whether or not the white cock was bred from whites....if you see what I mean the idea would be then to dilute the colours by pairing the birds that throw the most white......to a similar bird and carry this on over a few generation until white becomes the prodominant colour.... I know of a chap who developed his own line this way...and he now has over 60 birds that throw mostly white........but the odd colour is thrown back every now and then

no doubt Wiley.................however if I start with GP's to white......I'm guessing I'll be closer to throwing a bird with more white.....then again some of in now still throw a colour every so often..... ..............interesting is'nt it!

I have heard that old tale...............and have also heard its not necessarily true... I have a loft full of white Rapidos that fly out, and have only one has ever come back after being hit by a hawk..........in 4 years good luck with your search..............you might want to try Warren Foster.....white flight lofts................his birds are exeptional...............but can be quite pricey

The birds have now been sold ages ago thanks..................and the buyer is extemely happy with the birds.....as stated previously in this thread and there is no fuss.......I always welcome a healthy debate, and to answer your question Irish Fancier........ I bought my very first pigeons from Warren Foster many years ago, and from then I bought from Geoff Davies, David Frost, to name but a few of the 'recognised' people I have bought from.......I have always bought 'what I' consider to eb the best... I'm not sure matey...but wouldn't think that there a too many using the loggies......and if there are the strain will be extremely diluted now I would imagine. I have a Logan cock that was bought from the Royal Scottish loft........and he is the real McCoy with papers................but knocking on abit now In their day they were a bird to be reconned with over distance

Hi chaps...............unlikely as it perhaps will be, I did lose a Pure White Hen from my Stock loft, a week last Saturday, I didn't have her full ring no- but she was on a pink 05..........have a deglo orange plastic colour band around one foot as well as a blue telephone no- ring......... S*expletive removed*horpe area...........was brought in as stock and hasn't returned to the previous owner.. I think she may have been nabbed!!!!!!!

what .....all of them?

from being weaned my birds are basketed every day (hungry) for 2 weeks before they get to fly out......and physically carried to the stall trap and pushed through into the loft where the breakfast is waiting.............they soon get to know that when they go through the trap....grubs up.............. you'll always get a twitchy one that lags behind the rest...but i hopper feeding give them a very light fed so that when the lagger gets in theirs no sctram left for him.....after a couple of times of missing out on grub...they soon realise that they got to get in quick to get fed..........

not all is lost I had an 11 year old cock that stopped filling................I had a lot of years with this bird and didnt have the heart to bin him.............4 years later ages 15 he started filling...had 2 rounds off him in a year, and then at the end of that year he passed away a happy old lad....................he'd outlived 3 partners..and his last hen of 7 years died 2 weeks after him...........................
