I can perhaps obtain some for you in a couple of weeks............but they will are not be RRPA rung...........

As soon as my YB's are weaned off they get half an hour in the basket sat on a basket pointing towards the closed door of the loft......at this point they are hungry and after 30 mins I pick up each one and pass them through the stall trap by hand.....after a week they can start to fly out and will use the stall trap with ease.....after a couple of weeks of batching up and ranging....down the road they go.......5 mile s apart upto 25 miles...then to 50 & 70 ........

I fear that Irish Fancier is now directing his 'pent up' aggression on anyone he can in a vain attempt to show face.............. You are proving nothing by repeatedly trying to have the last say..............you're opinion my friend seems to shared by very few...... I am toying with the idea of letting a neigbouring fancier have a crack with some of my YB's later.......but top be honest, I have 2 small kids, and wife....too many work commitments, and not enough hours to put in what I like to if I were racing. I set a company for my wife about 4 years ago porving white birds for wedding / funeal releases which has been very succesfull for her......I tend to the birds and she looks after the business side of things...........that way I get to the pleasure of my birds....and she gets the pleasure of making a quid or two out of them.... My birds have been trained within a 150 mile radius of my home town...and are back and in...... in no time.

I dont race these birds gents but do apply racing techniques to their training, breeding, and feeding, and gereneral upkeep.

just a coulpe of pictures of a couple of my stock bods...All are decendants of a Rapido named superman...........I have bred out all of the color over the year..and now these birds throw pure white..time and time again. I have one baron hen that has a a tad of colour in her...but she throws white everytime..... They certainly make a fantstic spectical when all 40 are batched up and circling around the house.

just thought id share a tip I heard from a successful old hand this morning.... the night before a race he puts a couple of tubs of open vics vapour rub in loft..... He is convinced that it clears the birds nasal passages....thus allowing for unhindered breathing whilst racing........... whether it actually works or not .....I do not know.........

but there we have it.....................you're definition of 'good' is completley different to mine........as a showman...hobbiest......racer......collector....................................it is not set in stone.........the value is in the eye of the buyer.....not a third party casting biggoted opinions. the car comparisson mearly illustrates that everything has a value.....of which the market dictates..........rightly or wrongly...whether 'good' or not.... Only a fool would sell something at a loss........ and again.....i refer you to the 'age old' basic ideals of trading..............

seeing as certain people are intent at carrying on this protracted issue, I will add as requested that these birds are indeed show quality..and were bought from a certain lady in Wiltshire who has direct conncections with a gentleman in the Channel Isalnd who is recognised as perhaps one of the leading authorities on the showing of this variety. going back to the comparison with cars....a Porche may not be as good as a vaxhall corsa... but it still costs £100K......... Bearing this in mind can you not see that this issue is about 'market value'...and the market dictates that these birds sell for £25 - £35 per bird...I am not a bird dealer....niether do I make money from selling pigeons.........I am a humble Chartered Surveyor who sells property for a living........ Its a simple ethos...If I want it....I buy it......if I cant afford it......I make do with what I can.............get over it If you want to waste your time trying to lobby the pigeon fancying world that all pigeons should be sold for next to nothing...then please feel free.......I am happy .....the buyer is happy......you've got the hump becasue you cannot afford to spend £45 on birds.......Like I say..everyone has a budget to work to.....but dont critique those, who see the value in what they are buying. Your moral high horse is on a collition course with a fast approaching brick wall...... I hope that some time soon you will grasp the idea of basic economy and stop thrusting your self opinionated views down everyones throat.......like I say......start peeing......or get off the potty. I not in wrong here......and many share my views....if I was you I would concede and get back to showing your top quality all singing, all dancing birds that you sell for 50p each...which itself demeens the bird...no matter how good it is.

I am completetly baffled by these comments..... We'd all like to drive a porche.....so what shall we do...........drop the price to £200.00 so everyone can buy and enjoy one? We live in a world where everything has a price and a value..........the birds have now been sold to someone who was willing to pay the asking price, and hopefully he will be more than happy with his purchase. If you want to buy................then buy................if you dont or cant afford to..........then dont.... Theres no politics in this whatsover................ If I told you I onyl wated to pay 20p & and straight bannanna for a pair of your top birds..................Iacan imagine what the answer would be.. I would really appreciate it if you would all get off your moral 'high horses' now .........................THE END

for you it may be hobby but for some its a passion .....and believe me ..you only get what you pay for... Are you particulalrly looking for a long distance strain...or is it just a pure white Homer you're after?? In my experience alot of the so called Loguns are so diluted nowadays that any distance qualities they used to have will probaly have been bred out. I have one logun cock in amongst my white rapidos that was aqcuired for the royal lofts in Scotland...... he is one magnificent bird......but his hen got nailed by a goss last year.

I dont think £22.50 per birds is ridiculous at all..... especially for.........pure white racing pigeons are anywhere between £25 & £35 a bird..all day long.....if not more in some instance... If you want to go to a farmers market and pay £1.20 for a scraggly fantail..or a fiver for some Birmingham rollers that dont roll then thats fine....but these are quality birds, and not readily available in pure white either.........

The birds just about earn their keep! I'm in NE Lancs so shouldn't be in competition with your wife! Yes they can..............infact GBHs although they're quite a heavy brids are very strong on the wing.................I bought them about 6 months ago....and got em settled in about a month
