Well i had a stinker with midland fed at stafford 8/15 ! my first 2 were in reasonable time but after that not good , the birds never looked good during the week but i put it down to weather as they were trained tues/wed/thur,but birds that are home are in good nick . onwards and upwards.

I fly in greengairs also with midland and retuns in village are terrible i had 8/17 on the day and now have 12/17 but was well behind the winners, the conditions were very poor until 6 ish when it was very sunny but it only lasted about 3/4 hour ,i got 4 within a minute but they were 45 minutes late expletive remove. think to lib at 2,30 was a poor call for a 5 hour race and yes i agree that giong down the west route on our own is looking disasterous but i chose to fly in the midland fed and thats the route they fly.

All hens there at 5.30 this morning ! but decided not to show them to the cocks but give just the bowls . but agree that birds do pass on the stress, fingers crossed but for the first time this year not confident , but thats me not the birds.# all best for weekend.

Looks like my race is fooked for weekend! let hens out 7,00 flew well for an hour then a couple of stray ybs joined them so kept them up a little longer then after flying 2 hours a hawk of some kind went into them ! have`nt seen them since pitch black now and gutted don`t think i will send the cocks if i do i wont show hens before they go incase the hens are too stressed. Gutted.

That is in line with my thinking as with all the crap weather and my loft roof sloping to the front and no gutter the splashes wet the floor when wire door is in place so most of the day i have the solid door shut ! but they have access to a small avery at all times. thanks for reply`s

went with the Airdrie van but dropped 2 one very nice l/b gay pied and another that was at first race .

My first round young birds that were weaned in march have not thrown any flights yet my 2nd round are on their 2nd&3rd flights > not on darkness and they are in exellent shape flying well. not worried in any way just not happened before.
