  1. The only question and answer asked will be ones that are on any other business unless the issue is in writing and on the balance sheet.
  2. I said it earlier in the forum, the rules need cleared up, we have three different rules spread over different pages covering the same rulling, and each is supporting and contradicting each other. We need one rule outlining it's purpose and clear guidlines on the criteria that qualifies as a Gold Award.
  3. I didn't make the sale, but it sounds like a great success, if that is the correct term for a top guy and great doo man leaving the sport, good luck for the future Gareth.
  4. It worked for me, poor wee doo.
  5. Did Heeps Bors win the Gold award this year, forgive my ignorance here, I thought this was an old historic gold award win that was being used as an example and that is why I said it should be left the way it is, but if it was this year and it was outwith the rules (whatevery they may be) then it is still this years business and is therefore questionable as would be Tupie and Mc cord's. We need clearer rules so this can't happen again.
  6. I'm not saying this bird did or didn't qualify, but it has been awarded rightly or weongly and I think it should stand, if it didn't qualify then the committee shouldn't have awarded it and this is where their is some room for interpretation on the rule of qualification. IMO
  7. The sport and it's rules have been written to always looking for ways to throw a performance out, which I don't particuarly like, this is a cracking bird with great performances, the award has been presented and should not be withdrawn IMO, but the rules clearly need to be made clearer as you would need a philidelphia lawyer to understand them, reading the opinions on here nobody can agree the interpritation.
  8. I just googled it and I'm more confured now than before, lol We use Cider vinegar weekly also, some of the multi vitamins product I think are sweet / sugary, so CV keeps the gut balanced, a little bit of everything is best.
  9. Andy, I at no time have said the Lanarkshire are attemting to run the show Iam highlighting the fact is that they have there program meeting set very early, which they always have done.
  10. Fair enough, maybe someone feeling strong enough about it should put a letter of objection in?
  11. That shou;d have been a silver award, did you apply for one?
  12. I think we are nit picking here, maybe the rules need to be made clearer, but 5 open positions is surley more worthy than 5 section positions, we are recognising top performing birds here, so if the rule was broken then #i think the rule need to be made clearer to honor top performing birds.
  13. I don't know anything about the supposed West Combine meetings that are taking place, but the idea is great, but I have heard this a few times over the years at this time of the year and it comes to nothing, one of the issues is that Lanarkshire has already set it's program for next year when these negotiations are still taking place, so any outcomes will need to revolve around the Lanarkshire program and this is where it might fall down. I am all for a West Combine joint liberations, but I would like to hear more about what is happening behind the scences, as it all seems to be a chosen few who are involved with it, but I really do hope we have a positive outcome.
  14. Yes Robert, but look closer to home and you will see the Region F Averages has NEVER been won!, so their is the challenge, we have tried to compete in as many races as possible, but it is hard to have top birds in top form ready for ever race. The year this average trophy is won will be a top season for the fancier to achieve it.
  15. No you don't just come along and be inspired.
  16. It was a great night and well attended as usual, well done to all who made the night happen, plenty of drink and banter, for anyone who has never experienced a SNFC presentation you don't know what your missing.
  17. Your 100% correct, but I was talking about a bird homing directly home.
  18. Birds homing from Portsmouth and Alencon flying straight home will come up the west side of the pennines, both are a challenge.
  19. The West side of the Pennines is unknown territory for our birds who race the East route, but if they were raced up the West they would be familiar with it, one of the main barriers is the Shap which if not clear gives all birds a major challenge never mind unfamiler ones, if they get a run at it and it's clear they will get through.
  20. I'm sure a program like this will also have it's losses, but it will sort them out and the ones that are left will be the best ones (and all birds do need lady luck more so these days). The main aim here is to get our birds up this side of the Pennines, we have had several birds reported from Nationals in Liverpool and North Wales, these birds have came home in the right direction but hit the Shap and unknown territory and try and find a way through but end up stuck there exhausted, IMO
  21. Your right Stuart, Lancashire area was always bad for returns, but once we got down to Stafford and the birds got a run at the Shap then the racing was good again, I wouldn't mind trying training to Abington then racing from Penrith, Appleby, Stafford, Stafford, Cheltham, Portsmouth, I know their is big jumps in here but we all know that the Solway area and Lancashire areas are grave yards.
  22. Penrith was always a good race point a bit shorter than Appleby I'm sure?
  23. Either way something needs to change but I won't hold my breath
  24. Section f is made up of Ayrshire, Renfrewshire and Glasgow. That is the rules and yes I think they are south. See the rules about being 500 miles from rennet as per hotrods post. The bottom line is what I said above could happen.
