what is wrong in going to wanstead flats????

you are right bigda if you ask somone what lies farthest west edinburgh or carlisle and the majority would say carlisle but by latatude edinburgh is furthest west

what i think is wrong with raceing these days is there is no stability in the the race points because every year since we started flying the east route the race seem to get changed every year as when we flew down the west all the feds more or less went to the same race points ie longtown to dorchester then across the channel and when you draw a line through these points it is almost straight but on the east we are all over the place jmo

maybe the losses this year from newbury may swing it to wanstead flats as the majority of scottish feds are flying down the eastside

change newbury to wanstead flats seems to be better returns from that race point

gareth last week we were at witton castle lib 9.15 leading birds on time but the rest strugeld in the rest of the day I spoke to other race controlers and they had similar kind of race but nothing what lanarkshire experienced yesterday sunday we were at ripon liberated at 7.30 with good weather lt s.w.wind no birds that I know of to clash with yet we had a terrible race birds very scatterd could have been BOP who knows but it certainly wasnt the weather that stopped them so for some reason when we get past newcastle we seem to get this so I dont know what the anwser is P.Calder race controller Midlothian fed.

Hi all just wondering if anyone could help I had a y/bird reported last night by a non fancier in north yorkshire I had ask them to try and give the bird some water and food and release the bird this morning today Irecieved a phone call from the R.S.P.C.A in Middlesborough saying they had had the bird handed into them I tried explaining to them if the bird got fed and watered for a couple of days then released the bird would probably work its way home but they were insisting some collect the bird so if anyone can help pick the bird up and if it is in good condition could release the bird and maybe it will make its way home the address is R.S.P.C.A GREAT AYTON ANIMAL CENTRE YARN LANE GREAT AYTON MIDDLESBOURGH if you can help give me a phone P.CALDER 0131 663 9805 it would be much appreciated thankyou
