It is unfortunate that it said "English" ..... but reading it, it is very clear that it is to challenge the DEFRA interpretation of the current legislation and how they translate their interpretation into policy. It is clear that this is for ALL Channel racing ...may i remind my tartan chums that DEFRA do indeed set out the policy for SEERAD (the Scottish Exec) thus a successful legal challenge to DEFRA would ALLOW ALL FANCIERS to participate in Channel Racing ...at least to get the same policy as the say the Beligians. (Johno, Tentears, Peter) As for probity of the fund .... the BICC has a fine record of financial record keeping and is populated with many fanciers who are extremely well off ...so i dont think running off with 100k WOULD SEEM REASONABLE. For once lets all fanciers who are channeled minded get together to campaign, lobby to get fairness and equality

Have not really being paying much of an attention ....but looking at both SNFC/SNRPC entries ....Am i right in saying numbers are down on these races from last year ? why is this/do we have less National entries this Year? people lost a lot of Birds ? Seems the SNRPC was a hard one and the SNFC may be a toughie too ...well done Jim benvie and good luck to SNFC

Scott I have said it before ..... Committeess of any organisation can end up the nemesis of that organisation. The people who populate them feel that they are more important than the aims of the organisation. It is there position and and status that is more important than the aims and furthering of the organisation. My rules of thumb are People should be interviewed and assessed regarding their ability to govern an Org i.e.what skill or knowlege or ability can they bring to the Org i.e. a bank Manager could help with finances etc ....just cos 10 folk put their hand up at a meeting doesnt say they are good at it You need fair honest open brokers with no axe to grind and generally those folk would not go on a committee or become sickened and leave. Everyone who is part of a club fed region Union has a duty to ensure their reps all along represent them ....if they dont boot them off and elect someone that will ensure your views are heard. Huge egos and no ability and vendetta's detract from moving the sport forward and factions and sides. Who does what is best for the sport? This is not confined to any ONE union in GB ...... its up to the root and branch members ....you only get what your willing to put up with
