Had a visit today from my wee mate and gentleman of the sport, Dave Pirie, and friends Bob McKenzie and Donald McPherson. We had some good craic and Dave brought up a pair of gift birds. I remonstrated with him for all of two seconds lol. However, Dave is very persistent. The hen was Dave's first North section, only bird in race time, 7 open Bourges SNFC 720 miles. The cock was direct off Matt Rakes first open NFC Pau. I was very humbled and I hope to do them justice. Dave has recently suffered a broken hip, I hope your recovery starts going better Dave. We raced her to 500 mls as a yearling then stock .She picked up a couple of fed cards.The pied cock grandson of amoy & bc was 180th open Buckingham nr 400 mls then 4th section Clermont nr 600mls timed two years in a row 2nd day Clermont.He also went to nr 500mls as yearling timed at 11 pm on the day so they are shaping up well. regards Dave McDougall
