  5. some good advise there , the further down the road you take them the less there are likely to fly for fun , but rember that birds that take longer to home on short tosses see more of the terrain there likely to cross to get home , as you increase the distance they will gradualy get quicker and find there line of flight , good luck enjoy your birds

  14. theres a lovely thing called a transporter i put any stray south in a box give it to the driver he releases at liberation site the bird gets home , i go 86 miles north from me to Sunderland once a fortnight i drop N.E.H.U strays up along where they live any above Sunderland get a toss at Sunderland , how much do i charge to get these birds back to there owners ???? nothing a thankless job of feeding some for nearly 2 weeks but if this helps the sport then ill continue , its a shame most of the fanciers put them back straight in to next race rather than get them resetled and re trained , the last basket i let go at Sunderland they all dint even know how to leave the training create , that speaks volumes to me , there first experience of a basket proobably was there first race

  16. Take a ride out to your local R.S.P.C.A , avairys full of racing pigeons , why ? because 9 times out of 10 they know there fate owners dont want them back , you may not but many do , if you cant send for them or there arent up to it dont send the poor things down the road in the first place
