yes very frustrating , and no doubt might make you angry , birds are sensative , feed once a day and feed them by hand id try to let them out late evening say 6 to 7 then feed them by hand youl get them more confident around you and associate you with food i have one that jumps in feed bucket whilst walking up garden the benifits are they'll also get a bond with you and love of home , also never leave food in loft , all the best Regards Mark

pleased to say glorious sunshine in Sunny Scarborough although had hailstones at 11.15 last night

my first thoughts with it been a hen is calcium deficency , also if fed to lightly pre race the muscle mass may have been lossed too , not all bumps / bruises are always visable , so give more protein to help repair , other than that a reluctancy to fly may be canker after that a trip to the vet all the best Mark

id be more inclined to feed a yb / breeding mix 3 pickstones full as a rough guide once a day , i feed my birds by hand so i know when there fed rather than just dump food , create a bond with the birds now and it will pay you back later , birds be calmer and will become more tame :)and i never leave ybs or race birds food down its removed after feeding
