what are you feeding them ??? and are you feeding them enough ?
-
thats the one thats needs addressing , you hear of clubs folding around a good club flier and they cant get in any other clubs but same club reforms with near enough same members under a different name and good flier cant join , to me if you cant win without the true competision been in yer club , your only kidding yoursens and yer mates by shutting out the good fanciers thats only fault is to be better than the competision that there club mates are , bring back the sportsmanship , if they win , then learn to loose with dignity shake there hand and try harder next week , then next week they might be shaking yours

you can either apply to join a local racing club or you can join the R.P.R.A as a individual member its up to you , either way if you contact the R.P.R.A , they'll help you to find clubs in your area or tell you how to join as a individual member , all the best and a warm welcome to Pigeon Basics below is a link to R.P.R.A site : http://www.rpra.org/ContactUs/tabid/62/Default.aspx

Advise Please On Ventilation
OLDYELLOW replied to Bryngwynt Lofts's topic in Novices, Beginners & Young Fanciers
most have either roof tiles or simply take a board of and mesch it , can get various vents for front of loft its down to choice or can also mesch it at bottom and have a hinged board to keep rain out all depends on your lofts design -
Advise Please On Ventilation
OLDYELLOW replied to Bryngwynt Lofts's topic in Novices, Beginners & Young Fanciers
as a rule air should enter the loft at ground level and exit it either via the roof via a chimley or back of loft creating change of air removing stale air and gases best way to test any ventilation system is to use a smoke bomb for pigeons , you 'l then see if its working also if you take a few photos of your loft be easier to get a more opinions on where you may improve if need be -
Hi could any of you fine people with corridior feeders / drinkers please take some photos as i would like a few ideas cheers Mark

Pigeon lofts come under none perminant structures , however you can only build to a certain size , my council states that all pigeon houses are to be 1 meter away from all boundarys ( i believe this is for fire control ) , the distance from the house i believe has to be 15 foot ( not 100% sure on this distance ) , however i had to submit a detailed plan of the proposed development , which included the whole back garden grided out in size with all structures present and the proposed site for the loft on the garden , all of which i have kept to cover myself for future reference , it was passed as didnt want to build to be told permision wasent granted and would have to be removed if someone complained , even if one is considering converting an existing building such as a garage or shed a change of use application has to be made , i know there be plenty of lofts around with no permision , but better to get things right then you have a better legal footing without getting supprised and upset with a removal order
