all depends on the race distance most diets are more geared up towards carbs with protein in small quantitys , to me this is more sprint racing , 500 miles + more protein is needed

well if the birds are getting filled up with water then there parents are giving too much water , usualy this is a sign of canker imo , lets say they needed more salt you add it to the water there still going to drink even more water still , they need to pump the ybs with plenty of protein not water

my water doesnt contain any salt its fresh clorinated water , not brakish water ??? salt is actualy poisonous in large quanitys , pigeons should get enough natural salt through the mineral pickstones we give them

giving salt to wet feeders would make the problem worse , salt creates thirst hence why pubs used to give salted peanuts on the bar so you drink more , birds that pump ybs by giving too much water create wet boxes and inferior ybs , i find that it's usualy inexperienced breeders that do this mainly yearlings , i find that giving a feed pot in there box usualy sorts this out rather than using electolytes

I have only ever bought one bird through this site , had no problems what so ever , arranged to collect it paid for it however i feel buyers have the right to be annonimous and pm bids should be accepted , however i do feel that the pm bids should be added to the thread minus users name before end of sale and on completion of a sale the pm bid to be copied and pasted as each message is time stamped . It's also important that if your conducting an auction you should be onsite for at least an hour before to conclude the sale . Sellers : Should ensure that payments are recieved before birds sent out , if theres problems with a sale where people have decided not to go through with the sale , thats the right of the buyer , yes it waistes time and is unfortunate , a contract of buying is only finalised when payment is recieved and bird or item recieved . The best way is to get a paypal account and get buyers to send funds dirrect , this is by far the quickest means for both seller and buyer . Auctions : members should ensure that when bidding they have the funds to buy no birds should be sent until the funds have cleared and a message from the auctoneer has been made . With ybs swaps ectra this is a bit of a grey area as most good lofts will select the ybs and if see fit two ybs could easily become one as the vendor / swapper may remove any inferior bird . On many occasions i've actualy given an extra bird free of charge . I'ts important for sellers to tell admin or the site moderators of anyone who is trying buying and not paying as these offenders shouldnt be allowed to bid / buy birds as unfair on others , so if you have anything unresolved please pass on to THEFIFER via the pm system , the site cant be blamed for how others conduct themselves and sales falling through thats between the seller and buyer.
