Guest blythy1 Posted June 21, 2009 Report Posted June 21, 2009 Sorry lads but this is pussy footing. I have no idea who is being dodgy but this appears a dishonest pedigree???? Who supplied it! the name is on the pedigree and i have rung him 2day and he said tony mardon bred the national winner in 2006 and thats what it says on his pedigrees of the sire and dam and he said if i want any more details ring a auctioneer called r renick. does any1 have his details?
PIGEON_MAN Posted June 21, 2009 Report Posted June 21, 2009 Does it really matter whats on the pedigree,I would be be concerned wether the bird for sale had actually bred anything any good.
Roland Posted June 21, 2009 Report Posted June 21, 2009 a m8 thats past away topped the fed with 20,000 +birds years a go....now thats what i call a fed topper lol Now we are talking a 'Pigeon' Aptley named stamvater meaning producer, and by golly wasn't he aptly name eh!

Yes of course it does. If someone put a bird up for sale for £50 without details, would s/he get a bid? No... so when someone sells a bird that has 30,000 pigeon result in it's pedigree and is from a known name will you get a bid for £50? Probably. So the detail is challenged, who supplied the pedigree? The vendor does not provide the detail just that he rung the person he bought it off and he sad contact someone presumably Blythy doesn't know. It's been established that there has been no Welsh National with 30,000, even in the heyaday of welsh flying in the 70's no National got near that figure. I hope whoever is bidding realises trhat this pigeon is not what is claimed.

Shame what your saying is true Albear, the seller isn't being questioned, I'm sure you'll agree, it seems to me that he's genuinely just going off the pedigree because if he was devious then he'd not make a stupid mistake of putting down a 'checkable' race result which we quickly picked up on. Highlights the concern over the legitimacy of the pedigree and maybe the need to get some kind of organisation behind the issue of them one day?
just ask me Posted June 21, 2009 Report Posted June 21, 2009 im locking this one any more bids or questions please contact the seller
just ask me Posted June 21, 2009 Report Posted June 21, 2009 the thread is is reopened to blythys request
Guest Posted June 21, 2009 Report Posted June 21, 2009 Good, I think very unfair on Blythy to lock it, cause it obviously isn't his fault
Guest Posted June 21, 2009 Report Posted June 21, 2009 However I think Blythy should provide details of who supplied the pigeon/pedigree
Guest numpty01 Posted June 21, 2009 Report Posted June 21, 2009 i personally would buy of blythy and i can say the cock i bought was as dicribe and a real cracker regardless of ped or not
maxwell Posted June 21, 2009 Report Posted June 21, 2009 Good, I think very unfair on Blythy to lock it, cause it obviously isn't his fault I agree blythys is just selling the bird with the pedigree he received, but looking at it im pretty sure the mistake of 30,000 could be 3,000 which would be more likely and still make it a sister to the National Winner as stated.

I agree as well and my questions on pedigrees wasn't to question sellers it was just to question how they can easily be mis-read or mis-written.
Guest blythy1 Posted June 21, 2009 Report Posted June 21, 2009 does any1 on here have tony mardons clearance sale list? if so could you have a look for red opal gb02h79917 and roxanne gb02h79914 and put on here what them lots say because howard jackson said that it says 1st nat out of 30000 birds on the pedigrees of the sire and dam which was bought at tony mardons clearance sale. thanks martin
