We had our very visit from the Woodpecker this time last year and I have looked and hoped for it to return and it did. Just delighted to see this beautiful bird

Yes very nice pics, The Great Spotted, looks like a hen as the cock has a red patch on the nape, interesting how creatures evolve as they have two toes forward and two facing back for their usual habit of climbing up or down trees, we are lucky as they and the Green Woodpecker breed here so we have them on the feeders most days.
